Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Olympus Brotein. So cheap it must be so bad that it's actually good.

From googling around it seems like one of those ones that is mainly soya protein. Not that I'm even 100% sure why that's bad, but internet says it's bad so it must be true amirite?

:Edit: Lul, just actually read the last few posts, donotwant.

BP have regular offers, which I usually post in this thread. If you can wait a few days something is bound to pop-up.

Hmm, I do like bulkpowders from what I've had in the past!

Just ordered
4kg of Choccy mint Isolate
500g OAKG
550g Hazelnut Butter

GAINZ GAINNZZZ

OAKG is awesome... I have been using it recently and that deep sleep recovery feeling the next morning is soooooooo nice. :)

Anyone recommend a good coconut oil? Was going to get the one from TPW but it's not in stock.

The cheapest one you can find. Virgin is best (hurr hurr) from my perspective.

The best Coconut oil I had was by Nutiva.
2nd best was Biona.
Worst was the KTC el cheapo brand from Tesco.
If you want the best ask Freefaller. He has some links. Its expensive, though.

RIP anus.

Still got 500g in my cupboard, will use it if I'm ever constipated.

Which product has this effect?
I swear by Inulin. Without doubt my favourite (and essential) supplement.
Its like a grease for your intestines.
Better than any of the microbiotic drinks/yoghurts you can buy at Tesco.
I can live without protein, but Inulin is an absolute must.

I've tried Psylum husk and that stuff is bad tasting and useless.

OakG, I think my scales were way off though and overdosing.

May try again, because as Mrthingy says - them sleeps are awesome. Though recently sleep has not been an issue!

I find that HMB is great for getting a deep sleep and also good for recovery.
I tried Nytol once and ended up staying up all night - absolutely useless.

What's wrong with ktc?

It's £1 a bottle from the cash and carry, cheap on eBay/Amazon too at £2 a bottle.

It's refined but it's still cold pressed and unbleached, etc.

Comparing it to coconutty at £10 a jar I would choose ktc every time, unless you have some info on why it's not good from a decent source?

It tastes like lard. Putting it in coffee is not nice.

So for cooking which is my main use of coconut oil ktc is the better option.

For eating the more expensive options are fine due to them tasting better.

Although people on here usually make fun of people who spend more on supplements that taste better than non branded stuff like my protein etc. But it's fine for coconut oil at up to 5 times the price of the cheaper stuff.

e.g. someone posts on here that they buy brand x of protein powder because it tastes amazing.

they usually get lynched for paying 25-100% more but in this example it's fine to pay 500% more for taste.

Hope you can see how that could come across?
