I've just logged on, I agree with Glaucus that Tatooine would be great for the city / guild for aesthetics and the things to do on the planet.

As for getting a little xp, I am going to the starport now to see how much it is to go to Naboo, I remember that being the easiest place, we shall see! :)

I'm going to make a couple of new characters and check out the population around Coronet. As far as I remember it was pretty good for noob missions, I might be making this up though. It was where I spent nearly all of my time in game, although after the CU it was MO on Dant and random Dath stuff.

Coro was always the best place really, I would have thought it made sense to centre around there?
 
Tatooine looks nice but as Luke pointed out to us it is pretty lame place to live :)

Naboo or Rori (think thats the name :)) was the easiest start location for missions. Coronet was the busiest place, well on Chimera anyway.
 
I'm easy, but we could do with choosing Sharpish. then all going to the same place so we can set up some extractors and help each other out, but we need a common location.
We don't want to easy, got think past the first two weeks and into the big stuff, like kraut dragon hunting and similar.


Just read conflicting info, some places saying you can only have 20 player cities per world except one of them that's is 50, so we somehow need to find out if the limits been reached or not.

Also found out I don't need to be master architect for city hall, master architect is guild hall and we don't née dthat straight away, so that saves some grinding.

Ok, shall we have a vote?

In my opinion an easy start to the game in terms of levelling shouldn't dictate where the city should be.

Sure, Coronet and Theed are great starting out when you get killed when a womp rat looks at you, but later on don't offer too much and tend to be crowded with new players.
There is nothing to prevent us getting together on those planets to level up, regardless of where the city is.

Tatooine gets my vote for the city, in my humble opinion the desert buildings look better than the alternatives, there is quite a lot of content on the planet (squill caves, tusken raiders, krayt dragons, lots of rebel vs imperial bits when the time comes for us to choose).

I will of course go with the majority and be more than happy with it, I just think that an easy start shouldn't rule out the more difficult planet choices for a city. :)
 
GAH! The whole tutorial section is really bugged :mad: This is the third time I've made a new character and got stuck when the Corporal won't give me the ****ing papers! :mad: :mad: :mad:

:edit: and yeah I don't really know what I'm doing at all as I don't have that much experience, so I'm happy to go with what other people think is best :) Tat seems more fun, just SWG to me *is* Coronet :D :o

I'll vote tat as well.
Dat as back up, in case player city limit is reached.

But as above easy and I'll go with what ever the group says.
But I really need to find a spot tonight/tomorrow at latest. to place a house, my inventory is getting full with structure moduals and I don't want to sell them.
And I need to get some extractors on the go, otherwise I'll be here to next year, Prefer not to trek back and forth due to changing minds.

I'm going to make an Artisan now... never have before! How long realistically until I can place extractors?

There's a button somewhere, before you start the tutorial, so maybe in character creation.
Also it's a bit confusing where you get your papers from.

I lived on Coronet when I used to play :D Loved the city feel to it :)

But I did use to go to Tatooine quite a lot, especially for the Kryak Dragons (Sp? :p). Remember the want for them pearls? :p They were like gold dust :p
 
Krayt dragons, got to be the single best hunt in the galaxy.

Also I want a pet rancor back. Damn creature handling not existing yet.

Krayt dragons. There was one in Mos Eisley yesterday smashing up people as they came out of the Cantina. Some asshat lured it back there then just left it :D
 
The problem is, I'm stuck in the tutorial now, and character deletion doesn't seem to be working either! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

You deffnatly going to the right person to get papers. I temper being very condo fused who was meant to give it to me.
Iirc the guy in the corridor on his own. Not the one by the gate.
 
Yeah I know which guy it is, I've done the tutorial about 10 times in the past few days as I didn't realise I could skip it :p I'm doing it in the right order too, have even tried going back to the start to reset the narration/sequence of events but seems to be screwed :(

Anyone know anything about not being able to delete a character? Seems like a pretty big lack of functionality to me :(

:edit: Just went outside coronet on my own to have a go at going solo on some mobs. Bad idea :D

I had issues with the tutorial as well, I went back after the next reboot and it worked ok. Can't delete chars though :(

Only issue with Tat is that it is pretty sparse player wise so vendors won't get that much traffic. Not a major issue though.

I am open to anywhere, just need to know where :)
