Poll: Syrian Chemical Weapon Attack

Would you support a military strike on Syria without a UN Security Council resolution?

Everyone been so gullible, western propaganda at it again.

They had a guy on Press Preview last night saying its the Assad governments work, spouting this crap before anything has been verified. They have no reason to do this. Its the rebels who would have the motive.

It's not just me who is wising up, a lot of comments on Sky News's site are saying fake. If this was a chemical attack, would people be getting so close to them so soon afterwards? where are all the biohazard suits.

Look at the comments on CNN and see which ones get voted up. Hopefully people are slowly wising up and not believing everything that's reported on the News channels.

Correct me if I am wrong but Syria was a democratic country until the subversive actions of the west and its intelligence apparatus started to meddle?

Before we were all told that Assad was bad, how many of us had really heard anything about Syria?

For those who share concern/doubts regarding this whole thing but can't quite understand why, does it make more sense when I say this looks like an expert western strategy executed poorly by amateurs in the middle east.

syria never had a problem until he became a problem for the west.
he doesn't even seem that bad someone far worse could end up in power.

we all know the cia has funded groups in the past to start wars and I'm sure America would happily try to get revolutions started if it meant they could get someone more likely to heel and fetch

Nothing will happen until the world figures out a way to win a guerrilla war, which is what would inevitably happen if an intervention force was sent in.

just lol at "false flag"

nothing can ever happen ever without someone saying "false flag" everything that ever happened ever was a false flag

anyway its quite clear something bad definately happened, Jermey Bohen said this morning on the radio that he doesnt think there is any chance at all of this being faked, and I tend to think he knows what he is talking about

for people saying why dont the inspectors just go look - they are there with the Syrian Government, and they have not yet allowed them to visit the area

Bohen was also saying he has been to the area affected before and there is pretty much zero chance of it being an industrial accident or something else -the area has been war torn for the last 2 years with no industrial activity at all

I think its also pretty clear that the US really really really dont want to have to intervene if they can help it, they have no appetite for the massive invasion it would require, I dont belive for a second they would want or have to invade

Who could have done it then? - it could be a number of different people:

Rebels - Know the inspectors are in town and that chemicals are "a red line" for the US
Assad - Due to lack of support for intervention probably feels he can get away with anything now, although some people saying he would be to stupid to do something that could be the only thing to cause intervention, I think its possible he thinks he could get away with it
Local Assad commanders - may be getting desperate, its possible they could have done something without orders from above if they felt they were loosing an area
AQ / insurgents - probably not, cant really see what it would achieve for them

why would assad need to use desperate measures when he's not losing? it would be stupid for him to do it and if you watch any of his english interviews he's clearly a very smart and well educated guy not some mad dog thug like saddam or gaddafi were.

assad lives in the real world

If only we could get 90% of the Syrian population to follow the religion of peace...Oh! Wait...

Yeah agreed if only they could learn from christianity's long history of peaceful coexistence within itself no history of civil war here, never been a christian dictator or a war between christian nations where millions died and we've never enslaved or oppressed anyone because Christianity is peaceful:confused:

im not saying he did - just that its a possibility

he also knows that people will think he is not stupid enough to do it, therefore could do it with plausible deniability

edit : darn oldcoals beat me

But why bother when the govt forces are winning against the terrorists who are guilty of killing thousands of Kurds or villagers not willing to join the er "rebellion".

I didn't think that was the case was it? Assad was pretty much a dictator wasn't he?
