Would you support a military strike on Syria without a UN Security Council resolution?

Taking this to a more simple degree the Un protocol on chemical weapons only covers their use during warfare. With the Americans choosing to label insurgents as armed combatants instead of prisoners of war to avoid Geneva conventions with regards their treatment does this give syria the right to say that they are not officially at war and are instead fighting an insurgency of terrorists and therefore these protocol don't apply, like they don't to the us?

Afterall their talk about being the good guys and setting precedents for upholding law but also showing how the laws can be bypassed with creative wordplay and labels given to people.

Are you seriously trying to find loopholes so that Assad can carry on gassing women and children? Unbelievable. :(

Its more a call to wction with regards American hypocrisy about how they act in times of war and methods they have been allowed to use circumventing Geneva conventions to their own end and now proclaiming the right to strike preemptively here without that slam dunk evidence they should be seeking.

You are talking about the use of chemical weapons on woman and children - this isn't an excuse to take digs at the US. :(

You disgust me as an individual, it seems your brain is un-capable of analyzing information and having your own opinion, have fun at your next shift at Macdonalds, that is truly where you belong, enjoy.

Haha your grasp of the English language and your simplistic attack are hardly worth replying too.

Clearly I have my own opinion and I am voicing it despite opposition.

I am not some mindless apathetic idiot.

I am fine when people go against the crowd but at least show some "sense" in your arguments, so far I saw nothing apart from "Assad dropped chemos on children, lets drop a nuke on him" arguments from you, which is just plain dumb.

P.S
hardly worth replying too.
its to not too.

Where did I say that?

Lmao do you people honestly believe American and British intelligence? they could write Harry Potter and say it was real and you would believe them.

wait, what........ harry potter isn't real................

but didn't he magic up a WMD dossier that was the basis of the invasion of Iraq :D

Cameron is finished after this, what an absolute stonking error in judgement.

I don't think he should resign, but I don't think he has any credibility left.

Agreed.

I didn't vote for him anyway xD

why....

if he would have started bombing syria without UN backing you'd all be calling him a war criminal. He followed democratic due process and put it to parliament for a vote and lost democratically. Its not like we were about to be invaded and British sovereignty was under threat.

His timing may have been 'premature' but he still comes out of this breathing because it was labour that played party politics. So when Syria goes to hell in a hand basket some more, he can just put all those dead childrens blood straight on to milliband and labour ?

Aah there I was reading someone's blog thinking this guy is making sense.... Up until he spouts the words "new world order" that is.. :(
Another tin foil hatter?

"The U.S. trained, armed, and funded the insurgency using Al Qaeda operatives. Saudi Arabia has sent funding and arms as well. Israel has aided the rebels using air strikes within Syria's borders (even though this means that the Israeli government is essentially helping their supposed mortal enemies). This war would NOT be taking place today without the express efforts of the West. Period.

If one takes more than a brief examination of the Syrian insurgency, they would find an organization of monsters. Wretched amoral wetwork ghouls whose crimes have been thoroughly documented, including the mass executions of unarmed captured soldiers, the torture and beheading of innocent civilians, the mutilation and cannibalism of dead bodies, and the institution of theological tyranny on a terrified populace. The U.S. created and unleashed these demons, and now, we the people are being asked by the White House to support them through force of arms.

But what is the goal here...?

The goal, I believe, is to utterly transform the world's political, economic, and social systems. The goal is to generate intense fear; fear that can be used as capital to buy, as the globalists call it, a “new world order”. Syria is the first domino in a long chain of calamities; what the Rand Corporation sometimes refers to as a “linchpin”. As I write this, the Obama Administration is moving naval and ground forces into position and clamoring in a painfully pathetic fashion to convince the American public that 90% of us are “wrong” and that a strike on Syria is, in fact, necessary. It appears that the establishment is dead set on starting this chain reaction and accelerating the global collapse. So, if a strike does occur, what can we expect to happen over the next few years?"
