Can anyone tell me why when I use Advanced Task Killer, there are apps running that I haven't been using? I've just run it and Calendar, London Tube Status, BBC, Servo Search and Weather bug were running. This was the same about an hour ago. I've been through the Manage Apps settings, and I can't find anywhere to stop them from automatically starting/running.

I got mine today.I like it!Screen is very responsive and I don't have any problems using the qwerty keyboard even in portrait mode!
I've tried installing that custom rom but my phone won't have any of it.Boooo!

Is there any way to set your wallpaper so the picture is just on the screen you're looking at?
What I mean by that is - when I have my own picture as the background it seems to be covering the entire front screen meaning if I scroll to the left i'll see the very left of the picture.
Can I set it so it's always just in the centre?

2 issues

I have disabled background data so when at home I am connecting via WIFI, however I cannot access the android market place (tells me to enable the background data services. dont want to do that I am not currently getting free internet.

2nd problem, my work place use a proxy server but I cannot see where to enter the proxy server address. argh! thought it would be under wifi settings and select option the AP.

I've had it a day now and think it's a great phone.It's a bargain for the price it costs!
I watched a few vids from youtube and the quality is alright.Not mind blowing but pretty good.
I've just took the phone off charge so i'll see how long the battery lasts.
I've only got 3 problems with it and they aren't major.
1)pressing the screen near the edges is a pain and sometimes takes a couple of goes.
2)I can't use my own sounds for text message alerts(if somebody knows how I can do this please let me know)
3)The whole problem with using my own pictures as wallpaper.

1 more thing, is it worth getting class 4 or 6 sd card or stick with class 2? does it actually make a difference on the pulse?

There's an app for proxies I believe.

How do you transfer files for PC to the SD Card, i've plugged the phone in via USB, installed the drivers from the CD. However when I go to my computer to access it as a removeable disk, it just says insert disc....

Edit: Done, "Disable USB Mass Storge" infact means enable

Pull the menu down from the top of the screen where the USB icon is and the connection details will be show, touch the listed USB connection and then select 'mount'.

How did you change the icons for your apps from the standard ones ? Or are they different apps from the ones that ship with the unit ?

Um i installed better cut and a free android 2.0 icon pack, both of which are available on the marketplace.

Quick Q, anyway of getting the Alarm to work when the phone is switched off? Used it on my old phone for years to wake me up but doesn't seem to work on the pulse unless the phone is switched on

In fact at random it doesn't work even when the phone is switched on, as I had a chance to discover on Wednesday when none of the 6 alarms I set did anything. It rang since last week, and worked yesterday and today, but on Wednesday, it just overslept...
