Tabletop Warhammer?

As Shami said follow the link for core info.

Don't worry about lack of knowledge we're all returnees from long breaks (about 13-14 year for me) so we are all re-learning it from the ground up.

I'd be interested in this too, I haven't played in like 12 years or so. Gonna have a read of that link this evening :)

It changes at random.

Can i get some clarification on something. We are playing 5th edition rules but my codex is 6th editon, while i appreciate i cant use 6th units can i use the 6th edition specs of 5th edition units? Means i dont have to find another codex and can use battlescribe.

I've finally got primer but the weather has been so **** I haven't been able to go outside and do it since Friday! :(

That's always a pain. :(

At the moment I'm annoyed because I've had two days where it hasn't rained and the wind has been minimal, but my Marines only have legs, bodies and heads so far...

I'm thinking about getting a Librarian or Chaplain model once these two Tactical Squads are done, but I'm not sure if I want to risk going with the Finecast ones or hunting down the older metal versions on eBay. Has the general quality of Finecast kits improved much since launch?

Nope, have to use 5th edition codex or earlier. Sorry but it keeps things simple for everyone, 6th edition codex's are designed for 6th edition rules. Codex is in the drop box and you can still use Battlescribe you'll just need to check it against the correct codex.

Meh think ill leave it then as CSM 5th ed was poo. How are you intending to do it for the armies that are still on 4th edition?

Well... unfortunately codex's generally get more powerful the newer they are (it's how GW increase sales) as this isn't an ultra competitive tournament it won't matter really. We've had games with 4th edition codex's (Orks, Tau) and they've been fine. In the end the game is a balance of skill, luck and inherent army power. It's possible for a good commander to win with a weaker codex and vice versa.

Also 4th edition was much closer to 5th than 5th is to 6th I believe.

Well it's not done but almost

Progress on 4 Crisis Suits. All 9 are built but waiting on primer for last few. These are still WIP. Have kept it simple. 3 colours (Red, White, Grey) with some black lining and a black wash on the grey of the legs. All will be based on snow bases to match the rest.

Battlescribe won't work properly for CSM 5th ed as there were a lot of tweaks and changes to units.

Think i have the list I will be using anyway so will have to see how it turns out. Also the 5th Ed codex wasnt there when I looked only the 6th for CSM.

Just a reminder, You have 48 hours to submit your army list for the Vassal40k Season 1 Tournament! Please either email lists to me or upload them to the dropbox folder. :)

(...must finish mine...)

I was thinking more like 2000... >.>

Pretty sure I'll come up with something. I do have a few lists in reserve for other armies though, just in case. :p
