Tabletop Warhammer?

I was just unlucky enough that all my anti tank weapons/units where taken out. You forgot to mention that my Mandrakes where useless in the first turn. They lost the iniative giving him to attack first and completly wiped them out giving them a free pain token! lol I really enjoyed it but I have to rethink my deployment and how to go about moving my army. Looking forward to my next game!
 
Yeah it's all about redundancy. If you have 2 anti armour waepons in your army then depending on your BS only one of them is likely to hit each turn then of course you have to penetrate. It makes twin linked and guns that fire multiple shots (which is why I was so careful to avoid the Tyrannofex and Ravagers) very powerful. A single assault cannon is far more likely to blow up a AV10 vehicle than a Lascannon, just because you don't need all that extra strength, far better to have multiple chances to hit.

Yeah. If you'd started the Mandrakes in cover, the Hellions wouldn't have received that cheap Pain Token and would have been more vulnerable to shooting once the Reavers got round there. I probably wouldn't have tried to move the Hellions into the terrain due to my rather traumatic experience doing so with my Assault Marines.

I was also worried about the Talos, because it could have assaulted the Raiders and destroyed at least one of them. It's one of the cases where I think poisoned weapons are really useful, though. Sure, most Monstrous Creature units are likely to have a high Toughness and 2+ or 3+ save, but being able to wound on a 4+ means you can make them take enough saves to really hurt.

I think the variety of units in your list is really good, but as you have so many units that move about on foot, it does definitely need to make heavy use of cover and LoS-blocking terrain.
 
Yeah I knew It was going to be a bloody battle but I know how I am going to use them next time :) the way the beginning of the match went I am happy I came away with 4 points lol
 
There's so many little things to think about in this game that just do not cross your mind until afterwards. I guess its all experience.

Quite looking forward to my next 4 games Although I have to admit the only 1 I am nervous about quite badly is Necrons. Not claiming I'll own the others just worried about Necrons lol... Really looking forward to my rematch against Newts Nids
 
I’ll be free again on Friday for my next match; I will be making notes to my summary sheet from my last match!

I am not clued up on other armies, well in depth really so I need to prepare!
 
I should be free Friday, Have to check with the GF to make sure my life hasn't been planned out for me lol.

Edit: Been Informed I am not busy and how dare I accuse her of organising my life without consulting me... then she tells me we are at her god parents tonight for dinner.....Sigh.. Women...

So yeah, I'm free Friday for a game if you fancy it Clarty :)

Yeah Ill make Friday then What time would suit you? I am free most of the night say about 7-8ish
 
I can do whenever really Clarty, I get home and am free from around 5:30ish so if 7 suits you I'm cool with that but can start slightly earlier if you want.

I dont get in from work till 6pm and will need to sort out the little one so about 7.30 would be the best time if thats ok (also need to get the beers in ha-ha)
 
can the plastic glue work through paint? I am painting the Dreadfleet set at moment. You need to paint some of the pieces before assembly.Does it matter that I now have primer painted over some of the connection points?
