Tabletop Warhammer?

Less words more pics :p

I'm thinking about a Dwarf army when I get a job...but looking at them, they look kind of dated, any news of when or if they are being re-done and what about Chaos Dwarves?

Dwarfs are not any time soon which us a shame as there still on a 6th edition book. Some of the figures do look dated but there are some really nice looking models in the range. I love paying them although not a lot if people like facing them a they find it boring....unsure why

Maybe they are slow?

I shall see what I can pick up on the bay or ask my mate to start himself a new army and then stop playing it because they are boring...and pass all the stuffs onto me whilst I pay for it all at cost for him :D

Big blocks of infantry with a large army feel but with some fun toys. Can get big monsters artillery monstrous cavalry u can make different types of armies. Cavalry heavy magic heavy etc etc plus I am enjoying painting the big skaven items much more than any of my imperial fists :) a long sentence but I am on my phone :)

Have a look at my doom wheel so far before there's loads of cool items :)

What do you mean big blocks of infantry? I only have a handful of units that can get significant rank bonuses and only one of those you'd want anywhere near a fight... :p

Steadfast is a big influence u have units that hold up the enemy and others that kill. A big block of infantry might not be scary but buff them up and they can mince enemies. Fantasy is a lot more about combos

Right.

:p

I'm sure it's not as bad as it actually looks, but what I've seen so far has made me leave the tree-huggers packed away in their box. :(

Haha :) yer keep them away I was describing the meta game a little more. Point noted :)

Equally that shows the diversity of it. But I am not arguing that it is better just offering some ideas why it's good to get into. I adore the fluff around 40k.

Nah, I know. I just wish they'd update that book (and the Bretonnians) already! :p

I love the idea of large armies marching along and clashing with each other, and some of the war machines available are brilliant. I also found that I liked combat resolution in WFB a bit more than 40k as it took more factors into account. Sadly, it was far less popular in my gaming group. Shame really, as seeing the colourful armies, with banners everywhere, and cavalry, was just amazing. :(

I find 40k a bit easier to get into, fantasy tends to get a little OTT at times with too much going on.

40ks smdller scale and (relatively) straight forward rules help it bring more popular.

Haha yer though brettonians won a few tournies last year one they were 1st and 2nd
Wood elves need a new book. I think it intimidates a lot of people due to various things. I just love the models that bit more I think.

I went to the Black Library Live event at Nottingham today, the display they have upstairs is simply amazing....

I want an imperial guard army like this one!
