Tabletop Warhammer?

Only got my ipad on me at the minute, and can't see a way to share the link to the public folder, I'll get on the laptop in the morning and sort it out for you :)

Ha, you probably saw me yesterday, sat out on the Balcony in Bugman's, sulking that people had invaded my sanctuary.

Bugmans was amazing, its the first time we have been to Nottingham and I was amazed at the place, the gaming area looked great, gave me the desire to play 40k! Really should learn the rules, only ever been a player of the smaller games such as Necromunda and Gorkamorka :)

As promised, here is the link. Sorry the quality is not great on some of them, was difficult to get the focus right through the glass.

If you want to play some casually get a vassal game going, great way to learn and it's really giving me the itch to get back into it all.

Also shots 21 nad 22, are they supposed to be Gaunts Ghosts?

The front 2 rows are gaunts ghosts, the back two are another small squad, from one of the books, cant remember who though :s

Vassal game? i'm not 100% sure what you mean, off to google...

I can't find the post in here, Shami will kindly supply it I'm sure, but essentially it's just a board game sim on the PC.

We are playing 40k through it, its season 1 at the mo with 6 ocuk'ers involved but season 2 should be more popular the interest people are showing. You can work full army lists then fight the battle exactly as if you are playing a board game. Good fun.

If the idea interests you feel free to guest and watch one. It's my Tyranid army vs Woogies Chaos Marine army tonight. :)

It's wroth it for the miniatures hall and Bugman's Bar.

I'd recommend from 23rd March -> 30th June (iirc) when the Golden Daemon winners will be on display.

I'll try to remember to take the DSLR. :p.

I really enjoyed my day there, staff were great, met a load of the authors, got a couple of books signed, Dan Abnett & James Swallows.

I'll see if I can get in touch with shami, sounds good to me, after looking at the prices of getting an army going, playing on pc sounds good whilst I save some cash :)

I hope you spat in Abnett's face and told him to start writing the Ghosts series again properly. I don't think I could resist that :p

Bugmans is great (and not too badly priced to be honest), I love the gaming tables they have down there :)

I might try and post up pics from my visit after Gamesday last year, as by the looks of it they've changed the models in their museum area (IIRC the curator said they rotate them based partly on what's needed for shoots, and so older models also get displays).

The wife and I have been twice in the past week, the display had changed (4-5 cabinets worth) in about three days. :).

Price wise, had a pint of Hobgoblin and a single SoCo / Lemonade for just over £5.

Ah, I didn't have any alcohol when I went, just a gammon steak (with chips) and orange juice ;) (I'm bad enough at remembering the rules for the game when stone cold sober:p)
