Tabletop Warhammer?

It smacks to me that to get the better margin from GW there must be a minimum order threshold. Obviously Mythreal have been/are struggling to reach that. So the more folks that get refunds the longer the stock will take to arrive

You could try:

http://www.the-outpost.co.uk/

extra 20% discount for first time customers. Ive not used the website but the shop and staff are really good

http://giftsforgeeks.org.uk/ has turned into the place I go if we're in a bit of a hurry.

Thanks. I've used Gifts for Geeks before, they were really quick and the service was great, so I may go down that route. I'm just a bit disappointed, really. I don't mind waiting a couple of weeks, but when you're looking at over a month since ordering, it's not really worth the wait. :/

Anyone think the badly balanced codex, time after time, might just be a cynical ploy to encourage purchase of new armies, over and over from GW?
Longer I think about that companies business practices, the more distressed I become.

Could be. Powerful Codexes will appeal to the power gamers, and most likely result in them buying the new most powerful army when it's released. I wish the company would go back to being about the games and the hobby, but I doubt that will happen.

Edit: To make the same order from Gifts for Geeks, it would only be £16 more expensive. Not terrible, I suppose. :)

That is exactly the reason for the op units. My theory is flyers are op in 6th so more are purchased. As they are biggish models they can charge more for them. Don't fill yourselves into thinking the new codex are to purely bring the game to balance, new codex are designed to create more sales of miniatures.

Indeed, all the poorly selling units always see a buff. Apart from Pyrovores... why do they exist at all?

I think that the problem is more likely to be the opposite; Games Workshop have a maximum order limit for their trade partners and it seems likely that Mythreal have substantially overrun that limit (in Canada the limit is as low as $500 a month).

This video was posted just a few days ago and is a really good insight into how GW treat their trade partners:

I'm still in two minds whether to get a refund or not. Are there any reliable online retailers? When its come to GW I've only bought from ebay

Edit: just read the answer to my question a couple of posts further up. :o

GW seem to be doing there best to put there head in the sand (Closing down the main GW facebook account and Disabling all comments on youtube etc) and ignoring everyone. I think Matt in the MWG video was right, they seem to be very condescending towards the current generation of people and have a conflicting message as to why they are doing things.

i have had enough of waiting lol i am going to see if i can get a refund a month is a long time to wait really for sumit i can just get the same day of even a few working days lol

I'm not even 100% sure I want to make the same order elsewhere. Chances are I won't get it in time for the couple of days I had freed up to be able to do some work on these, so it's not like there's any rush. :o
