Tabletop Warhammer?

WANT! I still haven't painted by Angron yet though. :(

Yeah, it's a big *******. Lots of interesting maps and background.

Yeah i think since I got a good deal on my daemons (44 deamonettes+14 seekers for a total of about £70 on ebay) im going to focus on finishing that since it wont take much while waiting for the new noise marines to come out.

Not gonna lie looking at the wraithknight and riptide does have me envious and really wishing my Fiends were monstrous creatures rather than walkers. Although im not a huge fan of the wraithknight model. Cant quite but my finger on why though.

So back from a game tonight this time against nurgle marines. So what did I learn this time? Yet again my terminators achieved nothing but dying. I have no luck with that unit at all. Both armies having feel no pain was quite amusing and frustrating. My heldrake came on turn 2 and was killed turn 4 but he managed to take out a large portion of plaguemarines. Both fiends did alright but nothing special think I might run them both ectoplasma next time. Fully kitted out Noise Marines did fantastic thanks to dual blast masters and the amount of Sonic Blaster shots they can put out. They ended up holding onto an objective all game. My bolter/bp+ccw Noise Marines were charged by 4 spawn and over 3 turns eventually killed them all and moved on to contest the 2nd objective whilst the 3rd one remained empty. So I managed to get a win and had a great game aswell. Going to have to focus on getting my bikes painted up to replace my terminators I think. Unless I just run the lord with the CCW Noise Marines instead and find something else to replace the terminators with.

As a side note does anyone here have betryal? Still not picked it up but im really thinking about it

Betrayal is a very sexy book. I have no real interest in buying lots of 30k, but its a really nice background book, and feels worth the pricetag. Certainly more so than things like the limited edition codexes...

So I've decided Element Games is going to be my go to web store. Someone linked them a while back and I've used them a few times now, they've been very quick. The website is the best I've used (browsing paints is so much easier than Triple Helix) they're slightly more expensive (no free postage for everything) but still cheaper than Gifts for Geeks. They also sell some stuff I haven't seen elsewhere (Scibor and Secret Weapon)

I think this is going to be an expensive few weeks... Looks like there's a new Eldar Spiritseer model and a flyer (that looks really, really nice - I'll be picking one of those up!). I'm actually really excited about a GW release for the first time since...well, the last Eldar release. :p

Does anyone know if there's any truth behind the rumour that Phil Kelly is writing this edition of the Codex? I'm hoping so. :)

I thought that rumour had the credible source of Phil Kelly himself?

I think Kelly is all but confirmed.

I'm excited about the codex (and confused about the Iyanden extra codex thing)

The models I'm not impressed by. Instead of the much needed new aspect warriors (Swooping Hawks and Warp Spiders in particular are ancient now) and new jetbikes (some of the worst models around) we're getting a giant ugly wraithlord.

Couple that with Dire Avengers going from 10 to 5 in a box for a similar price :( The plastic Wraithguard look good though and are much needed, I hope the character models are good too.

Codex Eldar $49.50
Iyanden Codex Supplement $49.50
Eldar Farseer $20.00
Eldar Wraithknight $115.00
Eldar Wraithguard(5) $50.00
Eldar Hemlock Fighter $65.00
Eldar Dire Avengers(5) $35.00
Eldar Battleforce $115.00
Eldar Jetbike Squad $40.00
Eldar Psychic Powers (Cards) $7.50
Eldar Spiritseer $19.25
Eldar Illic Nightspear $19.25

So currently it's $37 for ten Dire Avengers.

Nobody seems to know precisely what this Iyanden supplement is, it's as much as the codex! Apparently it's rules for an Iyanden army, fluff and missions. Seems a lot.

The Jetbike squad is just a repackage (which weirdly for GW works out cheaper than the current price!)

I'd love to think this means they'll do Biel-Tan and launch new aspect warriors, then do Saim-Hann and launch new Jetbikes, then do Ulthwe and launch new Guardians and Warlock...but that would be a lot of attention from GW to a Xenos race. Some people think it might be a trial run for Codex Space Marines and then smaller add on codexes for the smaller chapters (Templars, White Scars etc) who knows.

Eldar is up for preorder at midnight tonight I believe?

I might get the Wraithguard, Spiritseer and either the Farseer or Illic depending on the models.
