Tabletop Warhammer?

So after vincent1989 kindly reposted his tutorial I thought I would share my results. Also first time really working on edge high lighting and I realise there are mouldlines everywhere but he was just thrown together out of my bits box and is just a trial.

Overall im very happy with how it turned out. Definitly not so scared of freehanding things now. Also the Vallejo paints and Windser Newton brushes I picked up were so much better than the GW products.

EDIT: Now I see ive missed a foot.....

Finally finished the dreadnaught. Sand and shrubs on the base, bit of wearing on the back added, and yellow/black launcher done. Put in the cabinet now, never to be painted again!

And an over-the-top Photoshop'd picture my missus took :p

Girlfriend demanded credit for painting the black stripes on the launcher, and adding the sand/painting to the base :p

Looking good, same one as the one I did a few pages back :) - was considering playing around with the paint stripped edging myself (did small amounts) but opted for edge drybrush highlights instead, now I wish I went for the missile arm! (so much more to do with it than the claw!).

Base is also excellent (I was lazy & went for the basic snow look).

Cheers guys. It's funny, I did the model in a "realistic" scheme rather than chapter specific. Almost a "how would it look if it was a real military walker" type of thing. But it looked a bit bland; adding the hazard markings (cheers, couldn't remember the term for it haha) has really brought out some character :)

Elmarko, I very much liked yours actually; almost like a much cleaner version of mine! I think I only add some much wear and tear because I'm not very good at painting :p

What I would add to yours if possible is a bit of deep snow around the feet; something that heavy can't walk on top of snow surely! :p

(Still got that ink drawing you did of my pooch up in the front room! Looks awesome)

What did you order in the end? I started snipping out the Wraithguard last night. I need to do a bit of green stuff sculpting on my Scattershield for the Wraithlord (basically combined two Wraithguard shields with some plasticard) might stick a pic up later.

Bundle and Spiritseer. Which, upon first inspection (haven't popped open the blister pack yet), looks to have minimal flaws. Mind you, I thought that about the Librarian at first... :o

Saw this posted up on GW's site. Happy that Iyanna Arienal looks to be back. :D

Yup, it's already on my list of things to buy.

I really want to get some Guardian Jetbikes, but I really hate the old sculpts, so I may have to get to converting which I was really hoping to avoid.

Depends on the success of the Iyanden one, I suppose. My guess will be that that or Ulthwe would be more popular than both Alaitoc and Biel-Tan, though.

Edit: So, I thought the 6th edition Codexes looked good when I saw images of them, but I really wasn't prepared for just how beautiful this book is. Not really worth £30, but not as far off as I thought it would be.
