Tabletop Warhammer?

Yeah there service was pretty diabolical and I do apologize for bringing them to everyone's attention. In fairness I do not believe the stock issue was their fault but GW being awkward as per usual but the customer service did leave a lot to be desired.

In fairness I think they pounced on that to deflect the blame to GW, everything suggests the long delivery time is absolutely standard by them and nothing to do with GW.

Yet I didn't have an issue with ordering from them and they actually bent over backwards to accommodate me (kind of)

I ordered some CSM terminators for the pre Christmas delivery and missed it by 24 hrs, yet added it anyway but missed the fact I had changed my address, so posted a second lot to my new address as well then asked me to return the 1st set once I got back to work after my Christmas break.

I don't understand how they are still in business really. Their profit margins on 30% discount must be...slim. Couple that with the most incompetent customer service I've ever dealt with and it doesn't scream "Great business plan"

Im thinking of using the dark angels upgrade sprue (the robed bodies in particular) to convert up a salamanders librarian. Obviously ill need to be careful of any iconography but what does anyone think?

some cool things on those sprues, a small file and some greenstuff and the iconography will not be a problem.

I'm lucky that I have two independents in my city that both do good discounts. So I don't tend to order online.

My feeling with Mythreal is that they must get extra bulk margin from GW but as a result only place afew orders a year. As a customer you could be lucky and time it right or have to wait for their next stock which could be months away

Recently I have just been going into the store and getting what I need (Only been one or two boxes and some paints) but GW are making it less convenient to go and buy from the store, I know prices are high but thats not the issue here (well it is an issue but not the one im talking about), they stock next to no blister packs in stores near me (I do not know if this is the same at all stores / bigger stores) but to get a special character or some basic blisters I have to go in, order and then go collect it another day, sod that. Its a pita to keep nipping in and out of town especially as I cant get to the store in the week. So buying from people like element games and triple helix is more appealing for price and convenience..

When worcester was my local store they use to have a wall covered in blister packs (not sure if its still the same, but it is a bigger store than gloucester & cheltenham) but then again even smaller stores had loads of blister packs in stock, however if I want any of the hobbit range ... thats all in ****ing stock .. really would have thought they would have more of their biggest seller on the shelves.

Plus they actually have some really good painting tutorials (top right) that I didn't notice until recently. Good place to get some things that I haven't found elsewhere (Scibor, SecretWeapon) as well. It also bucks the trend of really crap looking sites. As much as I like Triple Helix, their website is an abomination of design.

Aberdeen doesnt have many blisters really. Would imagine its the case everywhere. I tend to order online and deliver it to the store if I just want a single thing since they upped the free delivery to orders over £20.

Havent used Element yet but my friend ordered stuff from Dark Sphere was cheap and came quick and ive just put an order away to them. Worked out £1 cheaper than element including dark spheres pricey shipping

I wouldn't go anywhere Mythreal!! A lot of us in here got stung by them earlier this year when they had a similar offer. It took them 2 months to post me what I ordered and likewise for others if they hadn't already cancelled their order. Mythreal (sideshop of totalwargamer) do not answer their phones, reply to emails and pretty much feed you a pack of lies when you ask where your order is. I would pay the extra and go elsewhere.

They sound like maelstrom if anyone remembers them. I've used wayland's before without much issue, provided it is in stock. Otherwise its a PITA.

Bleh, tried giftsforgeeks, triple helix and elementgames, none of them have wave serpents in stock, and the range is a bit limited. Certainly will be useful for buying some common items but may have to the remainder straight from GW for full price =/

A rumour on faeit is that wave serpents are going direct only. Although that may be a us only thing.

I'm not available now either :(

If anyone wants any games next week I am free apart from Tuesday. I can really do with a few practice games before unleashing my waaaaaagh on the Tavos system :D
