wow, the cruise control on these cars is amazing, its actually useful, I did a 100 mile trip on the motorway in medium traffic without actually using the gas or brake pedal, the cruise control is able to apply brakes, if you pull forward the cruise stalk and hold it, it will apply the brakes!! it also gives you a digital readout of the speedit's set at!

Very impressed by it.
 
Thats the thing with the E60 - the ways in which its better are the fact its stuffed with cool gadgets like that.

I want an efficient dynamics E39 530i with the N52 engine and IDrive :D

The Alfa cruise does that already!

Going to have a look arounds for some 520d sports and take some test drives.
 
Before you buy I would try and get a car with at least the Hifi stereo system as the normal system is a bit pants(doesnt even have a seperate amplifier). Its almost nigh on impossible to upgrade due to it intergrating with the iDrive so much.

And one with the LOGIC7 Surround System is the bee’s knees. :)
 
i've always liked AC schnitzer, so i seem to like whatever they produce, even if it looks a bit iffy :o
