Did they change the law where if two minors had sex the male could be charged but the female not?

Maybe that's why attitudes have been different.

It's odd though, a paedo is a paedo male or female.

I have to wonder why these women are like this. Are these women authentic pedophiles (I'm using the umbrella term to describe all ages)?

Some interesting information that I read, some time or other -
The majority of offenders are not paedophiles, they are opportunists with low morality (common abusers)....despite what we read in the newspapers. There are undoubtedly some real paedophiles, but they are only a small percentage of offenders.
The media is more likely to call a male a paedophile than a woman.
Of all offenders (abusers), about 15% are women.

What makes a 'real' paedophile?

Offenders have been sexually attracted to children, they are paedophiles, male or female.

From what I understand, even after the age of 16 (16-17 I believe) if somebody in a position of authority/power over them has sex with them and are older this is also a criminal offence now.

What he probably thinks is, if the people could get it from adults easier, then they might never have turned their attention to kids.

It's still pedo whatever way you want to fling it.

Its up there with "if my wife gave it me then I wouldn't have to cheat"

Technically speaking, anyone specifically attracted to kids under 11.
Hebephiles like 11-14, while ephebophiles specifically prefer ages 15-19.
Anyone who is not specifically attracted to any of those age brackets technically doesn't count, and transgressors are considered guilty of statutory rape and/or sex with a minor, along wth abuse, grooming and any other associated charges.

From what I understand, even after the age of 16 (16-17 I believe) if somebody in a position of authority/power over them has sex with them and are older this is also a criminal offence now.
IANAL, but I believe 16-18 year olds pairing with other 16-18 year olds is consentual, but if anyone over 18 is with someone under 18, the younger is considered a minor for the purposes of law.
There may be additional complications with over-18s, if the individual is in a position of authority, such as students at university, where I believe age 21 is used as a defining factor... but this may be inaccurate.

That's someone who's sexual preference is children. You could call it their orientation. These can be the most dangerous, in that they seek out vulnerable kids. So called "predators".

An abuser is someone who has opportunity with a child and fails to stop themselves, even though they are not particularly attracted to children.

The law doesn't really care which they are, I might add. It's just words.

is that true? not that it will affect me but i didnt know that. back in the day i know some of my mates of 19 or 20 were going out with 17 year olds however and they were not concerned.

That would mean some upper 6th form students would be committing an offence going out with lower 6th students.

I don't like using these meanings because the thought is disgusting..

But technically speaking pedophile and the other age related terms from age 0 to 16 (or 18 if online) are for "child lovers" ie they fall in love with the child and in their mind have a genuine attraction to them.

But I suspect that the majority are child abusers as well as have other extreme fetishes. They are more attracted to hurting or corrupting the child. I think these people are approaching sociopathic levels of objectification. The child is an object to them. I think this type of personality is especially true with family abuse. Because to have no loyalty or respect to your own family seems on another level.

I was watching the latest Asmongold video reaction to a clip of 3 women talking about people they like. This one girl starts saying she'd like to have sex with Dad Dog. So people are thinking she's talking about the male owner of a dog. But no, she means the dog, a cartoon dog. Why would she say that outloud, on camera, that she knows will be on youtube!?

These people are so corrupted they seem to have no self preservation. They just do or say anything because they want to do it. There seems to be no self reflection at the time.

These are like pseudo-citizens of Sodom and Gamorrah. They are so corrupt they think its normal, or just a little kink.

It cares to an extent.
Cases involving children under 13 tend to attract more serious and punitive legal responses than if they are in a higher age bracket. In cases where the ages of both individuals are quite close but still underage, the law is usually more lenient.

After a brief read, it appears true to an extent. Despite 16 being the age of consent for most sexual activity, porn pics, sexting and several other things are illegal until you're 18, and if another party is involved who is over 18, then the under-18 is considered a minor and the over-18 is guilty of offense(s).

The 21 thing might have been the case at one time, but it appears 18 is now the minimum for those in positions of authority.

If you mean Paedophiles vs Child Abuser - I'm pretty sure that the law cares given that one is illegal and one is not, if we want to get all semantics ;)

Now... we wait ;)

Well, that was kinda what I was trying to highlight (in my uniquely clumsy way). The media love to throw the term "paedophile" around as if it's illegal, but it's not, and the courts rarely make the accusation that anyone is a paedophile. The only reason it's important is that paedophiles are less likely to respond to punishment. But, anyway, I digress, the woman in this trial seems to be a straight forward criminal abuser not as some papers claim, a paedophile. That means she could well be fine in society again after a nice little stay in one of his majesties hotels for people of low morals! If she survives, that is.

how do you ever tell them apart when it's known podophiles try to put themselves into positions where they can be opportunists.

Maybe its just a pedo claiming they aren't one

The law doesn't bother. It just treats the offence without diagnosing the person. I suppose the prison service and parol board might. It is an important difference, because a paedophile is more likely to offend again.
