Teachers should be respected more by kids?

If they have a bladder problem I should be informed by parents.

What if they don't want to inform you? or the child is insecure because of it?

Also making a child stand up all afternoon because they were swinging on their chair... that's a bit strong and I am not surprised they said they'll get their father to do what they said they would do.

Some may class that as child abuse.

You also are probably a troll simple for the fact why would a female come to a PC enthusiast forum and start whining about this?

I had told her not to swing three times.

Why is it different? The toilets aren't available during my lessons either.
Yes they are, how dare you dictate when a 10 year old child should go to the toilet.

I'm 42 years old and was in the school system when teachers were much more feared and respected and I never met a teacher who refused a to let a child who needed the loo go to the loo. Even the most spiteful of teachers were so draconian.

If this isn't a troll post I'll go as far to say you have no business teaching or being in charge of young children.

They should go when they get to school if they need to,in preparation for the morning lessons
I've taught my kids to put their hand up and politely tell the teacher they are going to the toilet, they should never have to ask for permission for some thing that is natural to us all.
Denying anyone a call of nature is wrong on all levels.
I can only imagine teachers feel quite empowered when they deny kids of their most natural basic rights to life.

Standing up for the afternoon or cracking her head open. Which would you prefer? I'm guessing if the former happened I would be slated for not acting on the child's behaviour and how dangerous it is.

I feel this is probably something that should be discussed with a therapist rather than on a computing forum, as you clearly have issues that need resolving, for your sake and that of your students.

Let them all go to the loo whenever they like but only give them one minute to do so...

Then when some of them fail give them a good grilling, slap, dunce hat etc. Should someone then try to dismiss you for your forward thinking and innovative style you can happily tell them that you've both improved the athletics team and sorted out class obesity and rightfully take the pay hike that'll undoubtedly be winging it's way to you.

Next...

Some kids just need a good clip around the ear, then put into a specific class with the rest of the *****.

Then the parents then need throwing in Jail for a week locked up for 23hrs of the day with nothing but books on how to be normal and bring up children nice and respectfull. Not like the chav mums and dads who think there little darling is the best way to get a cash payout as the teacher wacked the little one for being a **** in class.

Some children are the way they are because of the exact reason you explained in the second part of your post. So giving the kids a clip round the ear because bad parenting isn't really the way forward is it? start with the parents, since a child only learns from their parents so that reflects their behaviour.

I could go from not needing the toilet, to busting in the space of about 20 minutes.

I could go from not needing the loo to bursting in like 10min.

prostate checks for these 2 please.

toilet policy aside, id agree that a lot of kids have no respect these days. not just for teachers, generally most of the kids around here are little scrotes.

Yes it is, if they need to go then let them go unless it’s against school policy.

Nearly every school has this as a policy - it's not up to the teachers, it's a decison made at SLT level.

Problem is you will get some kid go to their parents and tell them that you did not allow them to go toilet. Then said parent comes down and makes a complaint against you.

And it will make no difference as it's a school policy, not a teacher policy. SLT will just point out that it's a school policy that the parent has agreed to via the school/parent contract.

For an easy life, let them go.

For an easy life, don't let them go. I'd rather have a complaint from a parent that SLT breathing down my neck for breaching policy.

Lol at the total bell ends infesting this thread. "if you told my child what to do I'd blah blah blah" and then they wonder why kids have no discipline or respect! Idiots.
