Teachers should be respected more by kids?

A child shouldn't be in pain after needing the toilet for a few tens of minutes. If they are then as already has been said, there's probably something medically wrong with them in which case the parent should have informed the school and they'd have a free pass anyway, or if they were in pain the teacher would act.

Lakeland's post describes it pretty well.

Also no, not a teacher.

So why did you ask if I was a qualified teacher?

Are you perhaps a qualified paediatrician?

Lakelands post shows him to be a good teacher with intelligence and wit who assesses each situation, instead of the the OP who simply dismisses a child's request to use the toilet. As it would appear would you.

There was a child in my school who asked to go to the toilet twice teacher refused both times. He decided to just wet himself in class.

You can bet they never refused him again :D.

The point is though that no healthy person gets to that point within just 40 mins (standard lesson length for me when I was at school and speaking to teachers it's the same in their schools now) without having the urge to go beforehand. We had 5 minutes between lessons, plenty of time to go for a pee or even a quick poop. If you needed longer, you took longer and just made an excuse when you rocked up.

I didn't know I had IBS at that age, I just went to school each day feeling poorly on and off. The doctor I was seeing at the time gave me some sort of peppermint capsule that just made me worse so I lost all faith in him, It was around the age of 18 where I finally discovered that IBS wasn't just all the same for everyone thus why the peppermint made me worse, but that damage was done then.

FYI I've been through CBT therapy, hypnotherapy and counselling, I'm quite screwed up as a person.

Nor did I and yeah, I remember that peppermint stuff - it gave me minty smelling farts. We had a couple of kids with Crohn's before it was widely known in my form. Every single one of us explained it to our form teacher and it was relayed to every other member of staff. The other students knew nothing and tbh wouldn't have cared any way. I only found out about the other 2 when I bumped in to them as an adult and had to make a bathroom dash during drinks. You can't change it. Why dwell?

I imagine most of us would have been caught out before even being healthy.

If it were a repeating thing for the child then it's clearly something that could be taught or disciplined for. If it's a one off then I fail to see the issue.

Alas no - although if the opportunity presented itself I'd certainly go in to that branch of medicine. I was raised by a teacher, live with a teacher and have several friends who are (for some odd reason) teachers. I get the full lowdown on stupid parents and awful children every single day.

As I've pointed out, I have IBS and even then I've managed in 15 years of it to never once poop myself. I've come close, reaaaaally close, but never done that. If you were in that much pain/discomfort you'd just bugger off out of the class and go anyways! Deal with any consequences later.
Nevermind wetting myself.

Hmm, I do not remember these issues when I was in primary school. I may have used the toilets at the first break after 10am then lunchtime. That and they were very off putting as you certainly didn’t want to go from the stench. Let alone they weren’t cleaned out often. School toilets were awful places, more so in secondary school.

I also remember no sane person would go and do you know what since the locks were always busted or most times no toilet roll. If you’re going to do that you do it at home before you leave for school. Beyond how grotty the toilets were, you wouldn’t even want to venture into the cubicles.

The smokers and relative bad people hung out there in secondary school. Not every toilet area but most. So you definitely did not attempt you know what.

I also remember a time where most of us didn’t chance our arms with teachers in the early/mid 90s. While very few did (as there were always some chancers) the majority did not. Seems it has greatly changed from these topics that crop up.

Back then I remember you didn’t arse about with teachers or your parents at some point were phoned up and/or called in. You were in real trouble if that happened. No excuses could save you. You were done for.

You mean you get 1 side of it ;)

Take the OP;

Op's side = the children I teach are horrible disgusting brats.

Children's side = our teacher is a demonic tyrant who won't even let us go to the loo when we are on the 'rag' (granted this isn't the language I'd expect from a 10 year old - but we only have the OP's word this wa what was said)

I do hope your other half deals with the kids in the way Lakeland does and not like the OP.

In all honesty though we are most likely debating a troll thread!

No I get both sides, as like you, I was a child too!

Also as for the language - honestly mate, you'd be shocked. Year 7's (11 and 12 I think) talking about oral using all the terms you and I know...talking about how their bf is **** at sex. An 11 year old boy talking about how he was fingering 2 girls at once. etc.

The device used doesn’t change it. I don’t care, just lol at having to deal with twenty post a page for so long.

But tbf if you crash drones into TVs to write them off, trying to stop them with your hands just before, I’d probably focus on more important life skills first :p.
Lol well done bringing that up, give yourself a pat on the back won’t you.

Btw I didn’t actually claim on the tv, I ended up deciding against doing that. So maybe you should find out before jumping to assumptions because you look like an utter arse tbf ;)

Lol at it being six pages for you. Absolute n00b mistake.

What is this lately? Seeing it from so many raging gamers as well to normal forums that are going omg n00b and endless troll responses. All these wannabe elites including life? All these perfect people that have never ever made a mistake in their walk of life.

OcUK: the forum where posters divulge medical conditions they’ve had since children, which caused them so much distress they needed to have multiple counciling sessions... all in a effort to win an argument on an obvious troll thread!

:D:D:D:D:D
