fingers crossed
fingers crossed
Yeah gonna RMA it.
Bizarrely, I have put my "old" ram in, corsair lpx, which I couldn't get running above 2933 before. Set it to 3466 DOCP and its working! 200% memtest no bother.....lols
Is LPX 3200Mhz rated or 3600Mhz?Yeah gonna RMA it.

In the past corsair 3200 lpx was randomly bdie based, now it is Hynix based.
This is why the new runs at 2933 and the old can run at 3200 or higher.
Just RMA it mate seems that way to me.Right, so I removed one stick of RAM, set to 3200, booted, ran memtest, 100% fine.
Removed that one, put in the other stick of RAM in the same slot, booted, ran memtest, threw errors fairly quickly.
Does that indicate one stick is faulty?
Would you recommend 3200Mhz kit for 8700k or something with higher freq?Just RMA it mate seems that way to me.
Hello,
I picked up some of the 3600mhz ram with my 1700x. my 1700x is an utter pig and will not successfully pass memtest with 3300 @ 14-14-14-36 or cas 16 timings. ram volts have gone up to 1.45, SOC up to 1.2, proc up and down around 60 ohms. going above 3300 becomes even less stable failing around 10% coverage vs 40-50% coverage at 3300.
what is the lowest 3200mhz cas timings anyone has managed to get with this kit? can anyone post up timings to try? The 1700x is at 103bclk x 37.5 multiplier and doesn't seem to want to go any higher with extra voltage and won't pass prime95, so I'm trying to get any extra performance from the RAM as the AMD guide showed 3200 @ cas 12 was fairly rapid.
Thanks for your help.
