Team Group Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black

1.5050v on the ram vccio 1.125v and system agent 1.150v but that's on asus ix hero mb. my cpu is 8pack binned 5ghz. it took some fiddling with imc voltage it started at 1.075 on both and worked my way up

I started at 1.65v on the ram sand dialed back too.

apex board does 4000mhz c12. 8pack put images on b4

but 8pack dosnt say if he sets max mem for 4k 12c and he probly using 1.9v.

and my timmings wer 2t not 1t. 1t wudnt always boot

@Gibbo hey buddy just ordering a dark rock tf cooler and worried about ram clearance. Whilst I know the heatsink can be removed from these modules would that void the warranty?

Ps amazing bit of kit, 3200 straight out of the box on my Ryzen 1700/asrock ab350m build.

managed to get 3466 to run using 16-16-16-32 timings in the vortez review. noticed this gave me a bandwidth in memtest of 18567MB/s vs 18995MB/s I was getting with 3386 using 14-14-14-34.

*edit* apparently this is obvious as the cas14 at 3386 has lower latency than the 3466 @ cas16. gonna push to get this for cas12 timings.

3400mhz 14-14-14-34 @1.48v now (using the 3600mhz CAS 16 sticks). seems that SoC power scales with the CPU frequency as well as the memory speed but the amount of power you can throw at it is limited. I can get 3426mhz on the the ram, but I have to drop my best CPU frequency from 3926mhz (1.425v) to under 3.7mhz or the SoC volts needed go too high. I also feel that the SoC is incredibly sensitive to temperature. too many volts can cause instability at lower mem speeds if the chip hits 75*c

the faster ram feels smoother in games, less or lower FPS drops so seems to make up for a lower clock frequency.

3426mhz on the ram and 3879 on the CPU gives a framerate value in 3dmark of 51.76-46.53
3366 ram 3888 CPU gives 51.17-45.95
3400 ram with 3900 CPU gives 51.72-46.52

either way the 3600 sticks seem overkill for current ryzen 7s so I hope ryzen2 improves on the IMC and proves this was a good call for a good few years. they look awesome and feel incredibly high quality in hand. the dimples actually seem to do a decent job of dissipating heat as its the only area that is warm.

5 stars!

^ It's partly luck of the draw with the IMC. I had two 1700x neither of which could run the memory beyond 2933, but the same kits run effortlessly on 8700k at 3200.

I've got the GA-AX370 Gaming 5 Board with a 1700x it will go to 4.1Ghz but 3.9Ghz @1.38v is the best trade-off for temps, now I'm concentrating on the Memory. 8 PAck do you have a CAS starting point for 3466 and 3600 as I've read loads of forums and I'm currently running 16-16-16-16-36-62-T1 at 1.35v and SOC 1.1v. I know its more about trial and error but I'm complete Mem Noob, and need a starting point. thanks in advance

Will ask in here...

I have Team Group Xtreem "8Pack Edition" 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Quad Channel Kit - Black
MY-094-TG

In a ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO, running a 1700...Bios Version 1701

I just cant get it to overclock on a ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO, Stays at 2133.

bumped the voltage to 1.4 and the Ram boot to 1.4...
and still it wont move...

Tested my other DDR4 Corsair LPX in there, and that works fine, can get that up to 2966 fine.

I am obv doing something wrong here.

Any help would be great.

Hi,

I'm still getting used to intel and didn't have enough time to find the best OC for cpu and ram, but this is what I have set for gaming at the moment. I am really happy with the ram. Also there are some extreme profiles in the bios for the memory, 3866 with C12 @1.9V and I have tried to run it but it fails when I enter the password in windows. But works all the way until there... Max I've got this ram so far was 4100 MHz with C19

The only C12 stuff I tried was 3866-4000 on Intel platform with high voltage working fine. like 12-12-12-28 1T very tight subs. Even 12-11-11 C12 is for benching usually with high frequency not 24-7 in my eyes.

Can you please tell me how safe is to run this ram on 1.9V? I've found some profiles on my mbo with exactly the same settings you have mentioned and it boots normally but got windows crashed when entered my login password. Should I downclock my cpu while doing this?
Thanks

1,9 is way too much 24-7. It's just for benching. 1.5v is the max for warranty 24-7.

Yeah, thats what I meaned... Just for bench... Not 24/7... What clock/timings would you suggest for 24/7? As I can see this ram really runs on almost any settings I want, don't know what to leave for gaming etc...

Thanks
