Team Group Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black

I'd just like to say a big THANK YOU to OCuk CS, they refunded the difference for me as well for this (and the CPU that I bought which is also on offer) :-)

Is this the stuff to go for for my Ryzen build?

Does it just work? I.e set DOCP and BOOM it's done?

Might have to remove the heat spreader to get it to fit, nut at stock 3200Mhz speed this will still run fine?

I use these on my ryzen build and it works at the set speed with no issues

Overclockers seem to have two variations on sale at similar price.

One is 3200Mhz the other 3600Mhz?

For a Asus Prime-Pro X370 and 1700 Ryzen which do you think would be the better ram?

The motherboard only mentions ram speeds up to 3200Mhz.

I just want 100% compatibility with DOCP.

It's easy to remove the heat shroud? I need it to fit beneath a Noctua nh-d14.

---

I've been told via a webnote that removing the heat shroud will impact both warranty and speed. :(

However in the product description it is described as a feature.

"Massive Heatspreader with Stylish Titanium-Grey Accents"

Furthermore the PCB cover of the heatspreader can be removed, which reduces the total height to just 37 mm and markedly increases compatibility with larger CPU coolers.

I have the 3200Mhz version and the same motherboard.
It gets 3200Mhz no problems with DOCP and always has had.
It fits under my NH-D15 as per pic below, just take note of fan locations as it wouldn't fit "closest" side to the RAM;

Thanks for that mate. Yes my fans are on the opposite side. But I guess I could just move them one step along the same as you.

I am looking at these RAM sticks too and have NHd14, would the ram fit if you had the fan above the sticks but moved nearer the top of the radiator slightly?

Well I bought the ram, expected delivery tomorrow.

I don't intend to upgrade to Zen +... but then maybe I should have waited a week just to see what it was like before buying new ram.

I can't upgrade every year, so will get at least 1 year out of the new ram.

I usually keep a CPU/mobo/ram for about 4 years anyway, with a new GPU after two years.

Oh well.

Speaking of which I've just finished building a new rig using this Memory.

I have it set manually in bios to 3200Mhz with timings 14-14-14-31 @ 1.35V

However in Cpu-Z im only getting 1400Mhz dual channel

BIOS

As you can see the system memory multiplier is correctly set.

Not sure what i'm missing here but could anyone assist.

Specs are as follows

8700K@Stock
Aorus Z370 Gaming 7
Team Group Dark Pro 16gb 3200(as OP)
1080ti Extreme Core Edition

Using latest F5 Bios also.

Try enabling the XMP profile.

Just tried then. I get an error when i reboot asking me to load optimised defaults.

Also at the current manual settings, my system to randomly shut down and powered up. Shouldn't be doing this, iv'e followed the settings as per the teamgroup website.

Reset your BIOS to defaults, save and exit, go back into bios, set the XMP to the 3200 profile, save and exit. See if that gives you the correct speed when in windows.
