Team Group Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black

Looking at picking up some of the 3200MHz RAM while it is on offer https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-08l-tg.html

Does anyone know how tall the RAM is? As I'll be fitting it along with a NH-D15 cooler but it limits the usable height of RAM. From a thread on LTT forum, it looks like the cooler allows up to 37mm clearance if using 2 fans.

I made it fit under my NH-D14. I just lifted the fan up a bit. They unclip so easy to push it higher.

Good to have it definitely confirmed as I ordered the RAM yesterday :D The case I'm going for says it has 190mm cooler clearance so plenty of room to lift the fan a little.

I've had this ram 3 weeks and still having found stability at DOCP.

I've tried everything.

I can get it to pass HCI 400% but then freezing and crashing games.

It's either the ram or the mobo.

Same issues with both a 1700 and a 2700x.

Well people havce been saying to RMA that ram for weeks, so not quite tried everything yet :p

I had an RMA open with Overclockers. But they mentioned they would test the ram and if they found it not faulty well then I guess they wouldn't replace it.

That's the issue. I test it using HCI and it passes (at least 400%) but then when I play games. Freeze and games crash.

I changed my windows power profile last night to high performance. I managed to play about 1hr with no issues so lets see.

This OCUK's forums, if they test the ram and find no issues (i.e. I dount they test it using actual gaming), send them here to look through everything you have tried with this RAM and all your posts. Refusing to RMA them after all of this would make them look bad, so I doubt they would.

@8 Pack i was wandering sir if you had tried to get this ram past 3200 mark on gigabyte gaming 5 x270 and ryzen 1600 at all ? do you think its possible at all ?
or if any off the other guys has tried this and been succesfull ?

I have this ram 2x 8gb and doesn't have problems whit it even oc before max speed i reach with was 3200 12-12-12-12-28 ramvoltage 1.4v and vcoresoc voltage at 1.15 also all settings by Vortex tested and work without issue from 3200xmp to 3866mhz
But at all memory is work perfect always settings thats are close to manufacture settings. So to munch paying with oc makes things some time even worst.

But a 2700x (IMC) should be able to run the ram at 3200MHz. Right?

Things where freezing even with my 1700.

Loads of people with my board running this ram at not just 3200MHz but faster.

I will not tolerate this ram running anything less than 3200MHz.

It's meant to be a doddle with this ram. :o

Nah not a given at all.... Out of five retail chips I tried one could not run 3200mhz... It's not just imc ability its infinity fabric frequency also limiting factor as one to one divider..

I found ryzen Pro better imc than 2xxx terms of consistency.

So what your saying then is even if someone had a top of the line X470 board (say a CH7) and a 2700x they would still be playing a bit of a lottery even with this ram trying to achieve what is a very basic 3200MHz even using DOCP.

That in a nutshell is a very very sorry state of affairs.

I truly hope this is not true.

---

The fact I was having issue with not just the 1700 but also the 2700x makes me more suspicious of the ram than the CPU's.

I'll know once new sticks turn up.
