Do you find it hard to believe people that they don't drink at all? Their nights out go exactly the same as yours do, just without the drinks, that's the only difference.
Maybe for religious beliefs ?

+1. It's just as easy to have fun on a night out 100% sober as it is drunk, you just come home with more money left.

.Social Common ground ?
Don't forget guys i'm not on about drinking 24/7 smacked off your head.
Big difference between drinking on social occasions.
These people are claiming to not drink full stop.
Some people drink but only maybe 3 times a month. I am not talking about losing your identity and your teeth every weekend with massive debts and hangovers.
Generally i'm quite light hearted around my friends anyway?
-1. Nights out that are seen as drinking nights out are no fun sober. They're no fun drunk either, that's why you get drunk!
See above for my explanation of why it's bad going to pubs/clubs sober.
I am not talking about being drunk off your head.
I don't know if this is a **** example :
If you invite a vegetarian to barbecue which is associated with meat etc.
They are going to feel uncomfortable, considering everyone is enjoying them selfs.
So the vegetarian is going to have a **** time because everyone around them is eating meat.
Whenever my vegetarian mate comes around for a BBQ we just shove a couple of vegeburgers on and he enjoys himself just like everyone else.
If you can't enjoy yourself without drinking then there is something not quite right.

you only speak to your friends on a night out?

As said already, if you can't enjoy yourself without having to rely on being drunk, there's a problem there somewhere.

And as I've said already, if you bothered to listen before you shouted down from your ivory tower, the problem isn't that I can't enjoy myself without being drunk. It's that I can't enjoy myself going to a pub/club without being drunk because it's not an enjoyable experience. It's only bearable drunk because you're retarding brain function.
That's why I no longer do it.

I went off the drink for a year at uni. I just drank coke and laughed along with the drinkers.
No, I speak to my friends all the time - on MSN, through texting, at Uni, when we meet up for food, etc.
