Just waiting for the Raducanu haters when Emma goes out in the 2nd round of the AO against Coco Gauff.

Nothing between these two other than Gouff’s been more clinical with her break points. Didn’t really expect Raducanu to win but encouraging to see her play better again.
No the ones that don't seem to follow or know anything about tennis. All they seem to see is the BBC articles without understanding the game/tour. Classic is a post above mentioning 'the other girl' in the final. Or the talk injury in the ASB Classic in NZ, which I had posted a video link previously, as it seemed some had only read the BBC headline on her pulling out with understanding the context or how it happened.
Fair enough. There seem to be a lot of people lately who deem anyone who isn't a sycophant or dares offer criticism as a hater. I apologise.
Unlucky but massively promising, don’t care if she wins a single tournament this year, just want her playing regular tennis without constant injuries.
Let's hope that this happens. That would certainly be a good start. Settled coach and injury free would do wonders for her.
Sad to see Nadal end his challenge in the way he did, looked a broken man at the end of his match and there’s surely a limit to how many injuries and comebacks any one person can make.
It depends what they want really. If Murray expects to compete for slams, he'd be lying to himself and should retire, but if he's playing for the love of the sport and because he can still compete with and at times beat the best (eg Berretini) then fair play to him.
This is a dig aimed at me. I do follow tennis but only the male side because I find the women’s side boring. No the ones that don't seem to follow or know anything about tennis. Fine the way it is. There is talk of them changing it to BO3 in week 1 then BO5 week 2. Dire. Keep it the way it is, change can be good but doesn’t need changed.I always forget that womens tennis is best of 3 sets and it can all be over in an hour. Its so disappointing. All of the best matches I have watched have been in the mens game because you have 5 sets. You can go 2 down and still win. Its hard to have an absolutely epic 3 setter and its not really a comeback considering you can only ever be 1 set down.
He’s a mental monster, he’ll be back rocking for the french hopefully. Can see him skipping Wimbledon.Sad to see Nadal end his challenge in the way he did, looked a broken man at the end of his match and there’s surely a limit to how many injuries and comebacks any one person can make.
Agree. Some people just don't know when to call it a day. Murray should have retired a few years ago too.
So called next next next next genTo be fair to Murray he won a title last year and got to the final of another. His losses were generally against top 20 players. He beat Berettini in a thrilling 5 set match the other day marking his first win against a top 20 player in a couple of years. Incidentally that loss knocked Berettini out of the top 20 which is insane given his ability.
But yeah, he's not getting any younger, and the so called next gen are only getting stronger.
EDIT: didn't win a title last year, lost in the final in Sydney.
