Tennis

It’s why he’s done so well. Might not be the best player, but my goodness be works hard for each point.
In his day he was a much better player than he was given credit for. Probably the best returner in the game at one point, and had an outrageous backhand. His hip has robbed him of a lot of power on that side, so he's having to counterpunch now.

Yeah, if Murray's hip hadn't failed him, and he kept up his 2016 level, I honestly think he would've been able to bag at least 3-4 more slams. Possibly more. 2016 Murray could only be stopped by Djokovic.

Murray is easily one of the greatest players of all time, he just had to compete with the 3 GOATs at the same time. Without those 3 we could have very well been calling Murray the GOAT.

Just the fact that he's out there competing over 5 sets with a very talented player 10 years younger than him, having played 5 against one of the best in the world only two days earlier, with a metal hip is absolutely ridiculous. You can't do that if you're just a hard worker. He's been brilliant tactically since the second set (whether he wins or loses this), chasing when important and conserving energy when not.

I know he's run a lot this match, but there are some points in this match when Murray reminds me of that fat old 60 year old who turns up to your tennis club, can't move, but just bosses the court and dictates every point.

...never in doubt!

Losing to those guys is a privilege! It does hurt my ego a bit to think how badly they'd crush me if they were 30 years younger though.

Losing to those guys is among the most frustrating experiences I've ever had, and it happens far too often! I've never been a patient enough player to cope with it.
