TERA release date announced.

anyone know if you can 'capture' mouse ? I have two monitors and playing TERA in full screen or window my software mouse moves outside to second screen all the time whilst playing.

It causes no end of difficulties playing the game, practically unplayable :(
 
Anyone else getting "Error: 500 - Internal Server Error, Sorry, there was a problem...There was an error processing your request." while registering on the NA site?
 
Anyone got a spare US beta key?
Mate forgot to get one so weve all ordered on amazon.com but none has received a key yet

Is anyone pre-ordered and definitely gonna be on this. It looks really fun and plays really smooth. Very fetch and carry but the way it plays had me hooked in my first 2 hours.

Thing is on SWTOR a lot of my IRL friends cancelled subs due to time so if I buy it I wanna make sure I got some peeps I can definitely jump in the game with.
 
I've just played this game for a few hours as a Warrior and got to level 6. Played with 5 of the class' abilties and picked up the combat system quickly. Everything seems great and all, good combat, good visuals, has all the MMO goodies and so on, BUT... I just don't seem all that interested in it. Nothing has really grabbed me as such. It's just... 'OK'. I'm not panning the game, just nothing strikes me as being 'great' about it. Maybe the whole Korean MMO style isn't for me.
 
Is the EU client installer hosted anywhere? Paid £4 for the preorder and it says your key will be with you in a few hours (still not arrived) but I'd like to get the downloaded start since its 28gigs?

I used the facebook link above and I've got access to the NA beta and I can get the client for that no bother but I understand the two clients are different?

EDIT: Came through now so all good - only 15hours left on the download :|

I know what you mean, when I first started with Tera I felt the same way. The combat system is good, but the rest of it is a bit "meh".

I have to say that it grows on you though, or it did for me at least. Try rolling on a PvP server and leveling up to max (36 or 38 in next CBT?). Try a few dungeons and group quests, and ofc some PvP, as this is where it really starts to become fun. Its the combat system that really makes it good, the rest of it you've probably seen before in countless other MMO's. Otherwise I guess you should just wait for GW2 to arrive. But does that even have a release date yet?
 
Managed to get to level 11 and off the starting Island in 1 hour 34 mins. I'm thinking with a few tweaks I can do this in 1 hour 20 mins, will do a few more tests.

That may change with the new starting area changes, your stats change in the next patch, less hp, less attack power etc I think up until lvl 16 where they filter back to normal. Was on NA beta this weekend past so will be Eu next weekend or CBT5. At work so can't link but if you look on the Enmasse forums there are details there.

Supposed to combat the complaints that everything is too easy until you hit higher levels.

Good point, I totally forgot about that. I know EU isn't adopting the NA changes for PvP so in a way I hope they don't for this but if they do you're right it will change things up a lot :( Will stop testing on KTERA and wait until this weekend then. The way it's done with what you've said will make it very very hard.

You've been looking for a new game for quite some time eh? :p

Pay £4 on the Tera EU site or pre order off Amazon.de and cancel pre order once they send you the code are the 2 options for EU. Next beta event is this Friday/Sat/Sun.
 
I have been looking for a new game. The beta's are so I know what to get first but I dont seem to be getting anywhere with them lol

Thanks for that I will be getting paid on Wednesday so will see which is best. I might have a look at some video's first like. Nothing seems to be holding my attention. GW2 D3 and Dota 2 are the main ones I am waiting for.

I would definately recommend you play Tera and not solely judge off videos. It's a game that you can see so much of on videos, but playing it is the only way to see why it is different and refreshing enough that for all it's faults I will definately be playing at launch!

There is also an open beta in a few weeks time so can play that for free for 5 days also :)
 
Yeah I know what you mean, but if I have read the threads correctly there is a lot of mechanics like dodge and aim. That can only be captured by actually playing the game.

Thanks for the info I may just have to give it ago at the weekend :)

They do sometimes run beta give aways so keep an eye on their facebook. If I manage to get a key I'll chuck it to you as all my guild have keys and I don't need them I just try and nab a key for people who need them.
