TERA release date announced.

Was watching a friend playing this last night, had a little go myself. Looked very nice tbh quite liked the no lock-on aspect of the game.

I haven't played an MMO since I stopped playing WoW a few years ago, and what I was into with that was the raiding, so does Tera have any end game raid content or is the 5 man party the maximum?

One thing I found pretty odd and funny was how they've rated the Classes by 'difficulty' on the official website! Haha! That seems like a very strange thing to do. They're basically instating a 'skill hierarchy' in game! Do people all look down on Archers as a result or something? :p

TBH from what I played of the Archer in beta it was fun

How come people from EU are playing on US instead? I heard something about them cutting violence out because they wanted it to be rated 12 or something?

Well to be fair, it's true, most modern mmo's have classes that are easier or harder to play than others, especially when playing in a group.

I'm interested to know how people have found the game in terms of performance. it looks nice and shiny but i'd hate for that to be a trade off if it meant it was unplayable.

£11 a month really:eek: for a korean mmo with little or no customer support
dream on,This has failure written all over it.

Were as it got no customer support?, I know Frogster isn't as good as the EN Masses, but it still isn't that bad

Plus it was redone for west, so its not so much a Korean MMO anymore

And TBH I had more pleasure playing this game then I did GW2, and I didn't have to pay £65 upfront to try it out

300ms ping today on NA :(

Maaan, I bet I'm gonna regret buying the NA instead of EU. Why did Frogster have to make the decision so difficult!

Not had any problems with Frogster support here. Emailed them because my digital collectors edition items weren't showing up in my item claim, had a response within a few minutes to relog and once I did they were there.

Also during CBT3(I think) I had an issue where I logged in to find my chars gone, again it was sorted in about an hour.

Sure, the customer support is great on NA too, and Frogster do things a little differently, but I'm not seeing the whole fuss being made on past performance.

I don't own tera yet, played the beta a few times but why was it so hard to pick eu or na? Is there a difference? Going to wait until the free month players are oven and see the subscription numbers before i buy it, swtor kinda died when the free month ended.

I think the difference is that EU players have to suffer multi-lingualism, which evidently doesn't suit a lot of the more... insular... English players :p

Reason I picked NA was because I was "told" by people on enmasse forums that Frogster had censored the game, removed blood, would have delayed patches, would have a smaller population and that Frogster was a horrible publisher who had ruined other games.

It seems, however, that all of the 100s of people that were jumping on this bandwagon - me including - were categorically wrong on pretty much all accounts.

There IS blood in the EU version, as I can see from the streams now on Twitch.tv, and the violence effects are no different. They are also removing the PEGI-12 rating in the future and there are the same number of servers as US now, indicating a good population level.

So, all the reasons I was 'tricked' (haha) into buying the NA version for, by the kind people on the NA TERA forums, and a few on the EU TERA forums, are no longer real issues. I can no longer see a reason to stay on my NA account other than it would be a waste of $50 if I didn't; however, to be fair, I don't care about the monetary loss and would rather have a much better connection quality to the EU servers, especially now that the game rating is being adjusted.

Odd I have only entered the headstart code I got from Amazon, yet I'm on the servers ATM  so what servers are you guys on in EU?, thinking PvE since not quiet sure how PvP works in this game and dunno how much ganking there will be

You get a grace period to give time for people's box copies to arrive.

As said you get a grace period. I'm playing PvE - Velik server. More than welcome to join our guild if you like - Seyline is my name on server, will be on in a few hours :)

If you don't like PvE you can always transfer off the server, server transfers will be free after a while they have said.
