TERA release date announced.

While Im waiting for my code, is there anywhere I can DL the client?
Sadly, I had to wait until I had my code before I could download the client (direct from the official site). On the plus side, the official site maxxed out my connection (100mb) so they have plenty of bandwidth.

Where are people getting it from ? I was just gonna order it off the official website, or is there somewhere better ?

Going to be keeping an eye on this thread in the next few days/weeks to see what the common reception is. Whilst I've been itching for a new MMO for years, I'm hesitant to invest a monthly subscription in something that may not have many months to live. What are your initial thoughts, fellas?

Took a chance from Cj's again, key sent overnight - registered fine as an EU key.

Annoyingly I was in the beta's so had the client downloaded but must have deleted it when having a clean up a couple of weeks ago. Also, just found out why my client has been so long downloading - the launcher options had p2p sharing enabled (doh!) which really limited me at any rate. I had forgotten some launchers do this.

So if anyone isn't maxing out, it's worth turning it off and restarting to see.

How big is the download? my internet is terrible and it takes me a full day to download gta and thats only 16gb, so im guessing tera is like 25-30? :/

The games great..did you not play the beta? Well worth at least an initial payment.

I'm looking for a game that will be worth more than that, though ;) With MMO's I feel there is so much time and effort investment that you need a game that will have some lasting appeal. Do you think it will last, or as someone else said earlier, be "another flash in the pan" like earlier Korean crossovers?

Simplygames came up trumps for future reference. £19.95 and they emailed the code 2 days ago and the box arrived today. Not had much time due to work but its pretty good so far, taking my time to try and understand the story. Im only level 5 so i cant give an opinion on lastability. The main feature that does it for me is the option to be an outlaw, it seems like old school ultima online pk'ing. :D

always difficult to say, I think the way people see MMOs is changing all round to be honest, just look at star wars and its massive drop off rate. At least this trys to do things a little differently and it might just be the hook to get people to keep on playing it.

but then again it all depends on end game etc etc...but to me at least it seems they really want to make this work and theyv certainly been quick out of the gate to patch stuff, change stuff on the communities suggestions.

Been playing this myself since the Beta on the NA servers and I have to admit the game seems really enjoyable so far. Not to bothered about end game to be honest the game has only just came out. So end game should be the last thought on anyones minds...

On the other hand the politices system that will be intoduced in the next few weeks sounds really fun. I like the idea of an actual player being in command of an area and having the ability to control taxes and the likes. :)

Remind me never to use CJs again :< should have listened.

Going to have a spare key up for grabs at some point!

Do they email the code straightaway before dispatching the box?
