Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

Had a good night starting off new characters with some other players, shame an admin then came on with an existing character and good gear, summoned the goblin army and then told us all to "stop whining and have fun" when we told him it was for new characters only.

Fixed :p as i said before it was a new character from the 1.06 build which was completely within the rules of the server, the goblin army appeared and was delt with rather quickly, someone got some goblin boots and everyone played on. Must've been about 10mins if that?

Won't be playing terraria much anyway, too stuck in Zombie Atom Smasher
 
In fairness to Shamikebab and the others, they said that they weren't happy with you logging on with a more advanced character and summoning the goblin army, and you're the one that ended up cursing. You also seem to put a downer on this game, when in fact it is a very enjoyable game, and I believe you said before that the patch was taking too long to come out, so you wouldn't play it again, yet now you are an admin of the server.

Tbh I think that people should appreciate the updates, people still get anywhere between 20 and 40 hours of fun gameplay, which is great considering the low price of the game, any additional free content is a bonus. Was it patch 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 that only took around two weeks to be completed? It's hardly a long time to wait imo. 1.0.6 took longer than previous patches because it was quite a large overhaul in the game. The next patch will hopefully just contain bug fixes, and a new biome/boss/items, which shouldn't take long at all.

Underneath my house is a shaft going down, it's not completed yet. When it's finished it'll go all the way to hell, as well as have an infinite water and infinite lava tank. Plus the tunnel across the map also. I thought making a tunnel like we did on the last OcUK world would be nice, so that people can run long distances without worrying about terrain, and hermes boots will make trips even easier. On single player I would've made a sky bridge instead, but that would stop fallen stars/meteors landing near the surface of the world, hence making a tunnel underground instead.

I've got a Suspicious Looking Eye used to summon the Eye of Cthulhu, if anyone wants a crack at him tomorrow, let me know and we'll take him on! :)
 
Im starting a new character / game now :)

In single player. I enjoy Terrarria single player a lot more than Minecraft, what an awesome purchase it was for £1.49 :)

I'm having to uninstall and reinstall it though as it wouldnt load.
 
Just delete your first character :p

No temptation to cheat then.

Woot, Guide was slain by a zombie .... Does he respawn?

How many people are playing mediumcore on the new server?

Dieing and losing all my gear gets old really fast. At least I've not explored all that far away yet so retrieving it is fairly easy.

Can't even imagine how to cope with losing a medium/high set of eq half a map away from spawn.

Sounds good. I'll bring my copper bow and afro :p

I intend to do all progression with my new character on the OcUK server ONLY; it's way more fun when other people are on. I spent 95% of my time on SP world before 1.0.6.

I'm going to be strict and only use a SP world for storing things I don't want getting knicked! :D

Edit: Yeh I couldn't handle a medium core character after the amount of times I was dieing on normal mode!
