Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

Lol, I come back on after a couple of days. Arms Dealer has moved into my Dining Room and rather disturbingly, the Guide has moved into my en-suite Bathroom ><
 
Does anyone have any pixel art requests? When my rig gets finished I'll be making a statue of the hero from Dragon Quest VIII, and possibly a statue of Vyse from Skies of Arcadia.
 
So I came on today to find out someones broken holes in my Lava/Water glasshouses for the plants, flooded the bottom floor and poored lava into the tunnel...

Its no surprise people stick to private servers or on there own.
 
Mediumcore is becoming less and less fun, it has to be said.

The game is engineered to kill you often, and when you can lose hours of work just by being unlucky (like having mobs knock you off a ledge down a big hole), it's hard to grin and take it.

And in some areas (like jungle), losing your gear means you are trapped and can never get back to somewhere less dangerous. An endless death cycle can be game over for a mediumcore character.

I'll still go mc if the new server is mc only, but it's really, really brutally hard.
 
Think mediumcore would be more advised for people working together not going it solo. At least that way if 1 person dies they can either grab your stuff and bring it back or help you get back to it. Going solo and having to fight back through jungle mobs is nigh impossible.

I've been farming silver and gold for the statue. I've got around 2000 of each now. Need to get blue dungeon bricks and I think I'll have enough for the whole thing.

So is the new server/world coming any time soon?

For the last week or so I've been playing a lot, but most times it's just me on my own. Tunez has been helping me but apart from us two there's very rarely anyone on at all.

If you could make it a server for all types of players, however state that within the rules high level players MUST build castles below ground. Also the smashing of ORBs must be done by low level players not high end ones :)

Simple thing I'll do is make it so there's a server side inventory. This will stop people spamming their inv-edited items all over the server.
