Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

Looks like there are going to be quite a few new items in the next patch...

I presume number 4 is a Drill not a Torpedo? :p

So theres a new sword (Mithril?), Glaive, what looks like a Chainsword, another Flail that'll probably be just as broken as all the current ones are, another big hammer, is 9 supposed to be a molotov cocktail of some description?

I'm sticking with what I said in the other thread. I'd rather see a complete rebalance to make specialising into 1 weapon type worthwhile. Early game armour that sacrifices defence for good set buffs. Lower base damage on weapons all around to be amplified by armour stats, accessories and potion buffs so you can't just swap between magic, ranged and melee without any drawbacks.

If all you do is put in higher 'level' biomes and stronger weapons you just amplify the already bad balance even further.
 
Where'd you guys find this info?

Edit: checking the Terraria website first would probably be wise before asking dumb questions ;)

I haven't smashed any shadow orbs, so no meteorites should spawn (I think!). :)

Edit: Having looked at my fraps folder, it looks like I have 12:50 hours of fraps videos just from working on this statue! The last time I looked (which wasn't long ago) it was at 3 hours! I'm going to have to encode each video to reduce the amount of space they are taking on my HDD. Lots of the videos have paused parts where I went afk and left the game running, so I'll have to edit those out to reduce the video length somewhat. Then I'll have to speed the videos up a little so that I can then upload them to youtube as proof of my genuine building. After editing and speeding it up, hopefully the youtube vids will only be around an hour long between them all. It's going to take a very long time to edit all 119 fraps videos, I'm not sure if I will be carrying on with the statue until I sort the videos out.

Started playing this not even a week ago...
Wow it's majorly addictive!

Already got 43.5 hours on it!! Haha...

And already, me and my brother have pretty much ''completed'' the game as it stands so far.
Had a look at the update and it looks BIG! Hope they release it soonish :)
