My PvP arena is coming along nicely.

Both towers are done, the walls in the arena will be made from Hellstone bricks, complete with a lava pit and spikey walls. The only way to stop yourself from dying from the pit or spikes will be platforms randomly placed in the arena made from something I haven't decided yet, either hellstone or possibly normal platforms so you can go on them without the obsidian skull.

Taking a while though.

How can I make chests to store my money etc and how can I set a new spawn point?

This site helped me loads, I just kept alt tabbing out when I get stuck.

Spawn points are set by making a bed I believe. Chests are iron bars and wood

In doing this, Terraria has actually managed to better its inspiration. Indeed, Terraria is not simply 2D Minecraft - it's far better than that, and my 20+ hours of play, coupled with numerous late nights of 'just one more descent', are proof of that.

Now, after all this gushing, let me make one thing clear - Terraria will not destroy Minecraft, nor the other way around. These two games can live comfortably together, offering experiences that the other cannot. Yet, for me, Terraria is now the better game, and easily the first Minecraft clone to actually get it right.

Both are good games, imo buy both. Games are often priced £30 these days, you could pick both up for < £30.

Both are worth a play, and are good in different ways.

Ive been watching lots of vids on this game. Looks fun, but not sure for how long. The team on Minecraft could learn a lot from this game. Minecraft would be a lot more fun if there were more fighting items and more chests to find.
