Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

Been playing this so much today. All shadow orbs broken, full shadow armour, cleared dungeon, tonnes of weapons. All that remains is underground jungle and hell layer!

Killed eye of cthuLu too.
 
I'm currently bumbling along in gold armour/weapons and have been trying to break some shadow orbs in the corruption, but they all seem to be stuck beneath rock that I can only get through with dynamite. Is there a way to craft dynamite or do I have to rely on getting it from chests? Do I need to be doing anything else before I start destroying shadow orbs? Nice game so far.

Was that the tunnel underneath spawn? You fall for ****ing ages then land in some crazy place with things throwing fireballs!

First time down I got knocked off course by a flukey worm. Died from 7000+ fall damage.

Second time down a skeleton fell down after me about half way down, then proceeded to overtake me, knock me off course. Died from fall damage again.

Third time I made it to the bottom!
 
Orignally yes ^, however i flooded the tunnel part with with a huge lava lake and left a sign post on the side. You stop part way take the side tunnel and go underneath the lake. But it was funny seeing the same people falling in the lava again and again :D
 
I purchased this yesterday when I got back from work. All I can say is that it's a good job I fed the cat before I sat down at my computer. I missed dinner and it was 8:30pm before I knew it.

Three hours of solid gaming... it's been a long time since a game has gripped me like that. So what did I have to show for it?!

One crappy house, my own personal mine / base and shed loads of stuff I don't know what to do with lol :p

My oh my those eye things are annoying.

I'll stick with single player a bit longer before jumping into some multiplayer mahem! Thank you Neil for posting this.
