Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

They're very different games. This game is absolutely awesome (more fun that Minecraft imo) but you'll probably exhaust most of the fun in about ~40 hours of play. Minecraft is more of a sandbox/long-haul kind of game.

Cool.

I want to get some friends into Minecraft but I dont know how to "sell" it to them.

I know the game is doing very good business but I do think I free trial period would definitely do no harm.

Is it worth them playing Minecraft classic or is the gap between classic and vanilla too much now to give a fair representation?

(Sorry Op to go OT)

I can't say I've played much classic so I'm not sure tbh. Perhaps show them around whilst you play some sometime... Or some of the "survive your first night in Minecraft" videos...

I don't mean to sound a scav but does anyone have any spare items I can have? Like a vine/grapple thing so I can navigate under ground easier. Went on the OcUK server and just kept dieing from big falls ;(

Whats with everyone blowing everything up? Just noticed two masive holes on either side of the spawn point that seem to do down some 1k ft?

Aye, the server is full of suicidal bunnies now!

I wish they'd go squish when they hit the bottom. :D

Woah, just had my first encounter with the Eye of Cthulhu and it handed me my arse - the boomerang wasn't good enough!

I've now got my Suspicious Looking Eye and Starfury so tonight I dine in hell.

Up until a few moments ago I didn't realise I needed to craft my fallen stars to get Mana... doh! Finally getting my Mana count up now.
