Terrible Jaguar re-brand

£100k+ So was an F Type R? I’m driving mine today and more comments on this thread about jag than my near 600bhp car in last year including a OCUK meet! let alone one of the best EVs my ipace?

It’s an interesting point I’ve reflected on.
Bad logo aside, it is amusing that people have went from ‘never buy a jag, it’ll spend more time in the garage’ to ‘omg, I love Jaguar, don’t ruin it’

Three times average salary before deductions?

I know Mr/Ms Average isn't the target market but 6 figures is still proper money, even to the well off.
1: This is 2024 - all car prices are higher now. A new petrol Skoda Kodiak is over £50k, a Kia EV9 over £75k.
2: No one pays full cash price for the car on day one of the ordering process - it's monthly payments now. A £100k EV is about £1k a month, which is easily obtainable for many.

Is that in the same way Disney is sinking, Twitter is terminal and Reddit is dying? ;)

Disney share price tanked and their profits have indeed sunk. Twitter has lost a huge amount of it's value under musk. Reddit is reddit and tbh seems to be doing OK.

I wouldn't use the word 'obtainable' for £1k p/m but yes, most would pay the monthlies these days. Cars are so disposable, a 3-4 year term and onto the next is what the majority of people want.
