Terrible Jaguar re-brand

That’s exactly what the MS CEO, Steve Ballmer said about the iPhone :) - “Who can afford a £400 phone, plus contract costs, it will fail” (2007)

Not really a comparable situation.

Jaguar are explicitly not chasing volume with this car, it’s going to be very expensive.

Maybe they're chasing the tiktok influencer crowd?

Seen an interview with Jaguar Head of Brand Strategy and well if its actually him it explains a whole lot. Adorned with a sequin shirt and sounding like he enjoys musical theatre. He goes on to mention Diversity, Inclusion and DEI projects in a 30 second clip

Lives in your head rent free doesn't he
if you heard nissan interviews this morning r4today remonstrating on the lack of a friendly zev consumer incentives ... meanwhile they have to purchase credits from manufacturers who manufacture abroad
(ie. that's like an export), I do wonder if Jaguar has had a nice slice of tax-payer cake.

Dreadful to see this trashing of a much-loved brand. I loved the two Jags I owned, but I'm obviously not in the demographic they're going to be chasing now which appears to be diverse super-wealthy trendsetters. I'll give it a couple of years before Jaguar go the way of MG with just a badge stuck on Chinese EVs.

£100k+ So was an F Type R? I’m driving mine today and more comments on this thread about jag than my near 600bhp car in last year including a OCUK meet! let alone one of the best EVs my ipace?

It’s an interesting point I’ve reflected on.
