Terrible Jaguar re-brand

Just checked in to see what the wider community was saying, it looks like the social media exec can’t delete comments quickly enough :o

The agency has been named, sadly only a matter of time before they get dragged into it.

A shame as I was looking forward to the unveiling of this along with the new cars.

That's what makes me laugh. They pay vast sums on money for this trash

They might’ve done the branding in-house. The agency/solo chap that’s been named is saying the ad was part of a partner programme or something, who knows.

Either way, we can only wait and see what the cars are like but very deflated after seeing that. First time owner of a Jag, I was starting to buy into the brand.

@Jonnycoupe figuring out how to defend this:

Almost 50 posts in and not one mention of “woke” or “broken Britain”. I’m disappointed.

It’s clearly a thrust towards the Asian market. Unsurprising as the local target market is dying of old age.

What's everyone in the office saying @Jonnycoupe ? Spill the beans, we won't tell.
I’ve never seen so much activity. They have just closed the internal Engage thread…

Even Musk Posted asking if they still sell cars to the Jaguar post on X, the barrage of comments and images is quite something. Sorry jaGUar. It’s trending #5 but frankly I can’t really get my head around it yet.

Should be plenty of interest ahead of the 2nd Dec if nothing else.

will new owners buy the car debadged and get an aftermarket traditional badge for front grill ...in comparison the peugot re-orientation of their lion head was fine.

The UK market is dead. They are doing the right thing focusing on China. UK is a second world country now.

Not 1 of these have raised a murmur in non enthusiast circles

Jaguars problem has always been marketing.

Jaguar had a better product with the Ipace than Tesla with their Model 3 and even beat them to market in the UK.

Same with the XE and XF. Both better cars than a 3 series or 5 series but nobody cares that the XE is aluminium and handles a lot better when the monthly rental payments for their 320d is a fraction of the cost of the Jag.
