Test Drive Unlimited Gameplay Thread

Well, I've lost all my work :( Fired up TDU this morning and still got the corrupt save message, and was so annoyed that I tried to copy over the non corrupt save from my memcard over to the HD. TDU stupidly wouldn't even recognise it one bit so I'm stuffed. I just started a new game but cba to put the work in again :(

51% Complete, 2mill and a ton of cars all gone. Most prolly going to stick this on MM now, cba to start from scratch. All this because I tried to just innocently backup my savegame onto a memcard.
 
Unlucky kainz :( i would have been furious if it happened to me but hey why not start again and maybe do things different this time buy different cars & houses etc .

Still gotta do all the same races/challenges/find everything again. Dont think I could be arsed with all that either, and would be rather angry. What a stupid bug.
 
Ok I have found something that is annoying me with this game now.

Last night I thought I would do a couple of the races in the diner places. One of them was a race for lamborginis only yet the quickest time was set by a guy in a zonda! How is this possible?!

Its the same for the other races where they are supposed to be group E only yet the person who won it/ has the fastest time is in a Ford GT.

Totally confused.

Basically its gay! you can set a time with any vehicle but when you build it you can set a condition, like group E.

The thing that's annoying me now is that I want to get the delivery missions/models/couriers etc.

My map is showing about 8 challenges of which these are 4 couriers, 2 hitch hikers, 1 courier and 1 super model.

Yet my stats are saying I've done something like 15 of 20 couriers, 19 of 30 delivereies, 15 of 30 top models and 18 of 20 hitch hikers (actual figures may be wrong but you get the idea).

Where the hell are all the other missions? Do I have to find them?

Yes people are glitching to get top times at the diner, I just kept trying loads of them and had quite a few No.1 times, most of them got beaten by glitchers but eventually I managed to win 2. You stand more chance in an A class challenge which has some technical corners instead of a straight drag race as they can't glitch and use a faster car so it is just down to skill then.
 
I had my first and until they fix it, last go at a diner challenge last night. Apparently a guy in a class E Ford GT :confused: covered 8 miles in just 22.54 seconds :eek: :rolleyes:

Yep freaking glitchers the whole diner thing is screwed. :mad:

Someone done Sagaris challenge only in a Saleen S7 god knows how when you can only choose Sagaris. :/

a lot of people complained on Atari forum so will see if gets sorted. :)

I hope so, I've had a few days off from this and was hoping for the promised patch by Friday but it never appeared :(
 
forgive me for i have sinned!

Two weeks i promised not to touch this game with a bargepole since playing the second demo, oh i was so wrong.

I picked it from game on friday with the view to playing it for a few days then take it back, but having just completed the million dollar challenge i can safely say this is a keeper.

The last two days i have been playing this constantly and poor old saints row hasn't had a look in since, this is all in single player mode mind, i have yet to even start racing online.

I hope that i can be forgiven and possibly let into the club when a slot becomes available.

I'm a bit late to the party on this one, so sue me :p

I've been doing the 180mph challenge for the last few hours :eek: Made enough to buy (and fully tune) an S7, Zonda, Murcielago, CC8S, MC12, Ascari and 3 new houses.
 
What's the largest fine anyone has got from the Police??

I racked up $33,000 after the 6th Road Block finally thwarted me!!! I have only just got the game, so that put a big dent in my finances!

Ahhh thanks I was wondering if it was something like people glitching.

ONe thing was bugging me though, on the race where it was lambos only I did it in my stage 3 tuned murceilago(sp?!) and yet I was 5 seconds down on the zonda by the first split . . . is the zonda that much quicker as I test drove one and it felt slow.

Also I still can't find a car that feels better to drive than my stage 3 tuned skyline.

EDIT: A quic question for anyone playing the game,

Have any of you guys had completelely random freezes whilst driving (having to reset the game) yet showing no artifacting or other issues. Its happaned to me twice yet I have been playing the game for roughly 3 hours solid after with no hitches at all.

Possibly just a read error from the DVD drive?!

i've got the GT500 reserved so i can finish all the top model missions & also reserved the aston DB4, anyone know how long they take to come back instock? been waiting around a day so far :(

16 missions left to complete now :D

just over $100,000 but when your further in game you can easily lose them in powerful cars so you never get fined again really. :)

I regularly get 3 full shields and $130,000+ :o
