Getting sick of the game now. 3 of my mates have suffered the save corruption bug, as did I. I hardly find anyone on my friends list online anymore.

Trade doesn't work, Clubs are buggy, the list goes on :/

Had the game hang up my 360 the other night in the middle of the game saving....I was scared to put the game back on

But it was fine, finding friends can be a pain though yeah

Hmmm .. might be worth me investing in a memory card and backing up my save games every so often I think ....

Come-on guys dont let it put you off, hey I only had the game since thursday and already have 3 houses and around 13 cars .... it aint to hard to restart and regular backups should help in future ?

Thats what I did, however, thats also why TDU saves corrupt!

indeed, it is a well know bug with this game

DO NOT BACK UP YOUR SAVES ONTO A MEMORY CARD !!!

IT WILL CORRUPT YOUR SAVES AND ALL YOUR PROGRESS WILL BE LOST !!!

Could you explain Nokkon ?

I planned on buying a memory card, and copying the save on the HD to the mem card every so often, perhaps keeping 2 on card just in case.
Are you saying copying the save is what risks corruption ?

BTW Nokkon + WatDa do you have a keyboard for the 360 ?
'cos you are damn fast replying to messages, it takes me ages in the on screen thingy !

Mr Orb .. lol dunno I haven't even looked at that due to the time involved for one challenge !
From my experience so far though, use a ZX10R for anything unlimited

I have to say I am a bit dissapointed in the Cops, passing them at over 140 doesnt even ruffle their feathers, nor running redlights, seems the only way to upset them is to crash into another vehicle (or them).
I used to love the original TD for the radar detector warnings, and subsequent chases if you ignored it, however I can see how some challenges are very tricky at the best of times, and that would make it near impossible, but they could be hotter on speeding while you are not in a challenge ....

Doing island tour at the moment... well trying to staying on the track, this motor bike keeps on oversteering

tbh being able to use a bike in the island tour and millionaires challenge is a kinda glitch, as its very easy to move between traffic. Did the millionaires challenge first go in about 52 mins on a zx10r stage 3. Ah well, online races!

log into http://www.xbox.com and you can send and reply to all your messages through that. Much quicker

YAY I did it in 48.11.68

There were 2 of use about 5 miles infront of the rest, the other guys car was doing 200mph+ round the hole thing! :confused:

It's either re-synching itself with the console, or your batteries are dying. For the latter hit the globe and look in the top left corner for your battery charge indicator.

Ah cool, its on 2 bars. I will wait before its dead before recharging this one (I have that cradle thing with another batt in it)

Test Drive Unlimited has implemented a new set of save protection for obvious reasons with owning cars etc. in the game.

Basically, your save is linked to your profile file via a checksum. Restoring an old save to your harddrive will cause the 'current checksum' in the profile for TD to not match, thus informing you that your save is corrupt. Therefore, in order to restore old saves you will need to restore the old profile backup as well so that 'checksums' match.

i was just going to backup my save too as i do that with most games. wont be doing it now, ohh er!
