Im confused about this savegame corruption - it says it each time but im still able to play and it IS saving my progress :s
Be careful...I had this too and could continue playing, but then I balls'd things up a bit.

This save corruption issue and savegames being so fragile is a reason why TDU could explode in Atari's faces if it continues. Two of my mates have already lost their saves, quit and now sold the game over it and I'm seeing a lot of posts on the US and Uk Atari forums about this.

Thanks for that - took my mem card out and its working fine now :)

-ve power.

lol just noticed i lkost one star tonight. tbh, now i have the 30 victories online i aint playing any random multiplayer games wioth peeps i dont know. i mean i played the simplist of races (the waikaki race - 1.9 m - bottom of map) and won quite easily. Most people who you play quit after they take the first corner bad and you nail it. So annoying. I used the backdraft thing on the long straights aswell and was told im cheating too :/

Also, just a second ago before i came off TDU i found the easteregg to get to the island. A guy asked how i got there, i said on pure faith and he told me i was cheating and you "tell microsoft". wtf!

From now on im sticking to playing people i know as obviously winning online = negative feedback. I thought this kinda thing was bad in DOA4, but this is just pathetic.

Yup. I second that. Theres some nice people out there but the other people out there really know how to spoil a party. :)

Not like that made sense or anything. :o

Right then lads, worried now.

Only had my 360 for a few days, already having issues with TDU.

Once, when I pressed D-Pad right to go to map, it froze for a sec, then the drive span down, and I could hear the laser moving up and down as if it were trying to detect a disc that isn't there. Then, a pop up "Disc Unreadable", asking me to clean the disc and restart the console and such.

Then again, just now, was in the middle of a transport mission, and I heard the drive spin down, and the pick-up clicks again, followed by missing textures and I fell into the road, then it froze, no error this time :(

It powered up fine just after, but I am concerned that this may be a problem with my console, rather than the game.

My 360 is in the vertical position, with lots of room around all sides, and the room is pretty cool. The disc is immaculate, so I can't see it being an issue there.

Any ideas lads?

I wouldnt use it in a vertical position personally but even if iam wrong on that you could at least try horizontal to see if its better.

Ive had similar on my pc and it was a power problem. Probably not much you can do but isolate the power plug would be worth a try also imo.

I will add Suarvvve to my friends list, I won't complain if you beat me :)

Anyone else feel free to add Majikthese, just put OcUK in the request so I know to accept :)

Are we getting more cars later this month ??
I saw a post on another forum that indicated we might ...

It's designed to work in either position, so it should work in the Vertical position, just as well as it may work Horizontal.
Think I'll call the store and check if they have any more, as it's not performing as its supposed to...typical, I buy something and it doesn't work properly!

Contact Microsoft, a lot of units have duff PSU's, which could well be the problem here.

I use my Xbox360 horizontal purely because it's quieter, though I sometimes use it in Vertical too. Not had a problem either way.

I have had this a couple times although only ever on loading something (disc spins down and the game just freezes) no graphical corruption and works fine after a restart.

I have put mine down to a simple read error as I have had this happen before 5 minutes into a game, restarted the machine and then played for 4 hours or so perfectly fine (including driving in the same area the crash happened).

Whichever way the 360 is positioned it shouldn't affect it crashing. (although don't move it with a disc in the tray)

Got a new one now, it was made a whole day after my last one!

With my old one, I used to notice an issue when I come out of races, or sometimes the map, where the dials/cockpit didnt load up straight away...they'd appear a few seconds after...I just assumed it was normal. Hasn't happened at all on this one (yet! touches wood!)

I do wish the fans didn't make such annoying noises when idling in the dash. My 360 is on my desk, within arms reach, so no doubt it sounds louder to me than it does to you lot with 50 inch plasma's and 100+inch projectors etc :p

I've bought a memory unit now, as I don't want to lose my saves if this happens again!

Sorry for crashing your thread guys, though my issues are related to playing TDU :D
