Haven't posted here in a while and all I see is mud being slung ;p

Loving standing overhead press ATM, I WILL OHP my bodyweight in the next month, currently standing at 186lb, and can do 135lbx4 on highest set of pyramid

does OHP strengthen your core?

Absolutely yes ;)

Except for when it turns your fat into muscle and tones you up :D

Yeah you know toning, like doing loads of sit ups makes you ripped and curling 10-15kg for like 3 sets of 20 gives you perfectly formed arms.

God and you call yourself a gym rat!

:p

never had issues ordering from BSD and i've been using them since they started.
not had the bcaa caps though, good idea as the powder is terrible!

Ha, I meant 'these' as in the tablets :p I just had an order from BSD last month and I'm very impressed.

How much BCAA should be taken? I am finding conflicting opinions.

I've noticed much better recovery from as little as 5grams before and after training, and I'm not particulary light either at around 15.5-16stone.

The taste is indeed inhuman, I just buy the powder and caps, got a capping kit and do it myself.

Hey there,

Right I'm training for the army, going in about July, I'm in the progress of the Get Army fit program, I'm finding it ok.. at best, was wondering if anyone had any advise on pushing my strength an fitness so I'm in the best condition possible for going into service.

Really I don't have a clue, my diet is most proberly poor, I have an ok idea of what not an what to eat, but I'm not sure when to eat it, though after reading abit today I've figured 6 times a day around 300 calories?

Really I'd like some guidence an advise if anyones got the time.

Andy

Need some more info mate.

Where do you train/what kit do you have access to?

What is your current condition? Weight, bodyfat, exercise experience?

Right well at the moment I'm just doing PT situp/pressups/tri dips/chin ups and a couple of others, I've got some weights, 2 dumbells , two barbells.

Currently I dont know my exact weight but will add tomorrow, I'm on about 12 stone 6.0ft, 23, I train in a feild or at home at the moment. I'd say athelitic, not sure.

I'm not sure how to messure my BF, but after some body and life abuse about 8 months back, I'm on a nice weight from a horribile 10 stone, looking healthier again.

Excercise experience, just dabbling with weights over last couple of years.

If you need to know more lemme know :)

Mate I had 3 months of the gym and was in hospital for 2 weeks of that no eating and I've came back bigger tbh. Alough that's to the extreme, 1 week is absolutely nothing and imo is actually good for the body to take a break.

Oh i reguarly schedule weeks off, but these are normally active rest, still plenty of walking and cycling. It's more the fact that 15h of lectures and labs with almost no exercise might send me crazy if i don't make sure i'm physically "drained" beforehand :)

Crossfit is really good for getting army fit.

Been looking into crossfit as you suggested, I cannot seem to find any decent beginners information, to be honest its hard to find much information other than the classes there trying to sell me, I came here because I cannot afford the luxury of courses or classes or gym, the old man said to try here as he peruses these forums.

Maybe I am missing some thing on that site, thanks for your time.

Can someone recommend a good push, pull, legs workout I'm sure it was benny which posted one ages ago but my search skills fail me.

I'm on a cut too with 12lbs of lard to shift over the next few weeks so would push pull legs be good. yes? no?
