Guys, as a student what's the cheapest way to get chicken?

Right now I buy breast from the supermarket, however I'm thinking of buying whole chickens then cooking them and freezing (or putting in the fridge).

Roughly how many portions of chicken would I get from a whole chicken if I eat them with vegetables for dinner most days. Also if I refrigerate it in tupperware how long would it last? Is freezing cooked chicken and then defrosting it okay? Cheers.

Stiv, the CBL basics are ultra low carbs before training, then go to town after. And on non training days then ultra low carbs all day.
As for the 10 day prep you still get in plenty of cals, salads with plenty of oils etc, i have found that the only main negative effects have been on recovery, no obvious impact on strength etc. getting to sleep hasnt been easy, and my daughter isnt sleeping great at the mo so my sleep has been disturbed a fair bit. Also i train in the morning, so not ideal to the program yet i am confident i have managed to squeeze the prep in to 6-7 days (and this included a few drinks on NYE!, however stuck to vodka and didn't go mad).
You can speed this up by doing hiit sessions at the end of your workouts, or in the mornings (as discussed earlier hiit is not optimal when done after weights)

I noticed I had moved in to stage 3 (days 7-10) of the prep yesterday and that was day 5 for me. It's actually quite interesting to notice the different stages, as you don't get all the tell signs. Gross detail, for me I noticed on days 2-4 my pee was starting to really smell (chemically type tinge) and I got keto breath as well, yesterday my pee stopped smelling highlighting my body was using the ketones now :)

Yeah but my downfall is fruit's and vegetables :( Can't stomach them at all, boke when I try and I've gave it a go countless times, even lettuce! Only thing I can eat is brocilly. Part of the reason I invested in some multivits.

My sleeping pattern has been messed up the last few weeks myself, been of caffeine for a week or so as well but last night was terrible I was up for 20 hours and done 3-4 hours of heavy manual work and I still lay in my bed wide awake until 3 in the morning!

Frozen breasts from most supermarkets are £4 per kg
There is chicken portions from asda at £1.75 per kg, however this includes bone weight and the parts are much higher in fat.

I cook 7 days worth of chicken on a Sunday. Been doing it for nearly 2 years and never once had digestive issues, or been sick.

Stiv I only really have mixed salad leafs, spring onions, and tomatoes. Broccoli is fine, Brussels sprouts as well.

Good choice, magnesum is very beneficial :)

May I ask where you get you're zink and magnesum? :D and can they be taken on top of tabs that contain zinc&magnesum oxides? Going to have a good look into each of the ingredients in them multivitamins tonight to see if there is anything beneficial in them or if it's worth it sending them back.

Phosphorus works in conjunction with Calcium, so it's important to keep phosphorus and calcium intakes close to a 1:1 ration; an imbalance creates a potential nutrition problem.

I'm not sure how much of this is actually truth. Blood calcium levels need to remain approximately constant and any excess calcium is stored in the bone, released when blood calcium gets too low. I don't think it's really necessary to make sure your ratio of phosphorus to calcium is 1:1, in fact that's quite difficult to do.

So miffed, decided to find out my 1 rep maxes or therabouts today. Started off with squats and exceeded my expectations, but shattered my stupid ceramic core, nooo.

Hope I'm not out of action for too long.

Icecold was selling me carb back loading over the phone today. Sounds possible... the preparation period doesn't!!!

It felt good to be back in the gym today although I'm not totally sure what I've done to my knee, I think I might have to go for a swim tomorrow to see if I can loosen it off a bit further.

On an unrelated note I accidentally put my earphones through the wash yesterday and they still seem to work perfectly which is a bit of a bonus.

Went back to the gym again after getting told to man up :D

I actually feel better for it except for my ass ( no homo)
Done 20 mins cardio steady pace 9km/h then done a good 70 mins of heavy weights including 3 x 10 reps of 190kg leg press and 4x 7 reps 70 kg bench press.
Also done 10 mins of sprinting and walking 45 second sprints then 30 sec walking.

Shoulders don't hurt as much as before even though I worked them pretty decent but my fat ass is aching.

Going to have carbs tonight in the form of ravioli.

Do you squat?

Why leg press then bench?
