*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

Man just saw someone's holiday pictures on Facebook, makes me tempted to drop the stronglifts program and just do bro curls app day, even though its illogical as hell.
 
Finally got over my first bout of DOM's, just trained through the last of it & strangly it went away pretty quickly after that!.

Also found out why by bench press sucked (too narrow grip I think), just need to incorporate some chin-up's & dips to my 5x5 & I should be golden.

On a side note - where would you sell a bench/olympic weights set? (Ebay, gumtree or maybe private?) - no idea atm - but I don't have room in the garage anymore & I've signed up to the gym at work (easy as I can do it before work daily!) for 12months so it's just collecting dust!.

Looks a little bit on the basis of some of the shakes I used to make myself when I was eating 4500-5000 cals a day.

Yoghurt
Gold top milk
scoop of whey
cinnamon
peanut butter
banana
apple
red berries (usually frozen)
oats

1000+ cals in a shake baby.

You have to bolster your weekly shop by £10 a week alone just for the above. :o
 
I live out bro, just seen some weight going cheap that has sparked some home gym daydreams. Can also get a free bench, although unsure of the quality/haven't used it in a long time. Home gym would really be better for me anyway as the gym on site is quite basic - it is only an RRH after all - and increasingly not getting the chance to go during work.

Fair enough, though I know the guys over at the RRH here managed to get a decent gym going. Squat rack, oly bar and weight plates IIRC.

Not sure what the going price is for £:kg, some stuff in the build your own gym thread though.
 
Yeah but for the GF to use and for a start it isn't bad. Can always get another couple of 20kgs when necessary.
