*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

After 3.5 months off the gym because of finishing uni/holiday, finally signed up to easyGym which I'm starting this Wednesday. Can't wait to get back into it! Get dem gainz!

Joined new gym this week.Very impressed so far lots and lots of free weights and 5 squat racks :D
Looking forward to back day tomorrow followed by jacuzzi and steam room.
Also has the biggest indoor climbing wall in the world supposedly dont climb myself but looks very impressive.

Is that the climbing place near Newbridge?

They do daily rates too, been thinking about using it the odd time I'm home.

Low bar. knees don't seem to be too much of a problem, but i could probably work on added flexibility to keep them well outside of ankles as they're just about satisfactory atm.

ATG + low bar... it's not really a thing AFAIK. Almost everyone's range of motion will stop them going much lower than parallel.

Parallel or just below is fine, if you can't get there without rounding then that's something to work on, but I wouldn't squat to that depth regularly until you fix it. Don't go outside your range of motion, you gonna snap your **** up son.

First session back in 4 weeks (supposedly have to wait 8 but meh! ) - appendix ruptured on me so had to have emergency operation. So much GAINZ lost!!!

dropped from 75kg down to 69kg all the bulk i have done has been lost.

Plus had to turn down 2 photo shoot's which has ultimately cost me some ££

Anyone had their appendix out - if so what was the recovery time?

Nice, I thought it would've sucked. Sounds better than the council gyms around there!

Yeap been there done that.Council gym for last year.Plebs eventually got to me . No more moody old people or local idiot neds coming up to you mid set and asking what body part you were working while doing shoulder press.
Few massive bodybuilders in there last time I was in so need to get used to being one of the smaller guy's again :p

I had some of my intestine and my appendix out at the same time, so I know your feels.

Its not really the appendix being removed stopping you lifting it'll be the skin thats been sewn back together :p You got disovable stitches?

No :( got 8 stitch scar. Little worried how this will affect modelling, but going use some bio oil. Originally it was planned to be keyhole but it was too bad so they decided on open during theatre

Basically you will have a line across your appendix, no idea if bio oil will help but seeing as you nodel it might be worth a try!

Bio oil is good for stretch marks a which are similar to scar tissue, so should help lighten and reduce the visible scar line to the naked eye. Hope the recovery goes well Kai and that the scaring minimal

Hi I hope someone here can help me
