*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

Yea the openers are there to get you going and give you confidence. The next 2 lifts are the real meat.

I thought this might be a nice little recipe for you guys to try; I use this on my high carb days as meal two. It tastes amazing and some decent macro’s.

Porridge 60g
Whey protein 40g
Whole Egg (1 large egg = 50g) 50g
Egg white (1 large egg white = 33g) 33g

Nutella 10g
Cherries 50g
Natural Yogurt (low fat) 40g

Mix all the ingredients in and whack in the oven for 20 minutes.

I have made other variations including using the mix as ice-cream or cupcakes

Heh - full fat and plain chocolate for me, I think. :)

I just don't like the taste of etiher low fat yoghurt or Nutella (appreciate they aren't in as isolated ingredients), and if I'm training, I like to think I'm eating stuff I'd enjoy, rather than making sacrifices. Might not make sense, but hey....

But that's why you look a lot more ripped than I do, and I still can't lift for ****. :D :(

This was the last cookie i made to contain the following ingredients from next week its just whey, oats, eggs and a drop of water. It still tastes awsome, using the PPS Whey Banoffee flavour to make the icream is a real winner. There is no real sacrifies. 4% bodyfat mission in full swing :D

@FF... Possibly - I'm just a bit miffed with it at the moment.

I guess I'm just not thinking like I should - I don't feel I'm progressing fast enough. :o :D

Saying that, I'm going to knock the bar the **** out tomorrow on C&J day... :D

@kai... Can't wait for the photos, and mad props for managing that. I'll be honest, I'm not for that personally, but full of admiration for those that can and do!

That reminds me. The strange polish guy was in the gym yesterday, with his wall clock. Doing deadlifts, double underhand grip, with a row/curl at the top... I was so tempted to video it!

Did he say "Regards, David" at the end of every rep?

I found those pitta breads today in Sainsburys, they were with the normal ones. They look great so will be having them for lunch this week. Thanks for the recommendation.

What do people here eat as a snack? I sometimes find myself stuck between meal times where I will be on my way home or not able to eat properly so could do with eating something. Sometimes I only have a short period of time to eat as well so anything that is really quick to make. I see someone say the other day about tuna and peanut butter, sound's pretty horrid!

*edit*

I ask then scrolled up and see that recipe up there ^ sounds and looks great so I will be trying that thanks. Just waiting for my whey and peanut butter to arrive from MP now.

Nuts or PB on toast as a sensible suggestion

In my case whatever i can get my hands on :D

Vertical video syndrome even though i handed my phone to him horizontal :( And he started by taking a pic so missed the first rep.

Wolls and stoodle think i'm going down to far, thoughts? I will add this was the most comfortable i've felt on any weighted dips so far  usually some sort of elbow/shoulder uncomfortability but this was perfect.
