*** The 2014 Gym Rats Thread ***

Just had some peanut butter on ryvita with some sliced banana on top. It was surprisingly nice.

My hamstrings and lower back are still sore. That's the fourth day of DOMS now. I really need to do more deadlifts.

I think I'll have to give cardio a miss again today and work my upper half. Time to start doing some OHPs!

I have the same as you but it's only day two so far, got a new pb so that's good. But got back again tomorrow, I think it's going to end in literal tears.

The ones that do this and then proceed to go and use something else, IT'S NOT A ****ING COAT RACK YOU MASSIVE BALL BAG!!!

Some one ledt their shaker and stuff next to the rack the other day, then proceded to use the bike on the other side of the gym.........so I stole the rack.

Bloke came back and was like 'oh...'.

Just squatted 140kg @ 75kg

It's a nice mile stone

Well done, I got to the first milestone for my squat which was my own body weight of 80kg this week. The idiots I mentioned earlier about doing bicep curls at the squat rack again out did themselves by now doing shoulder press at the squat rack  I think they want everyone at the gym to hate them.

Nothing wrong with shoulder pressing from a rack.

I always shoulder press in the rack, as you should. You can't properly set yourself from the floor, getting tight and unracking are all part of the exercise just like squatting IMO.

No, they were using the bar used for squats, all the shoulder machines were free and they just set a bench up underneath the rack and used the bar.

I don't see a problem with that, if you want to concentrate fully on the press rather than arsing about trying to get it up to your shoulders then it's a good use of the rack.
