*** The 2014 Gym Rats Thread ***

Looking to start StrongLifts properly, current gym only has smith machines, anyone in Newcastle ( North Shields ) recommend any gyms that have a decent amount of equipment, squat racks etc.

Hoping to find a secret underground gym that nobody knows about so I don't have to wait about ;) We can dream.

having a power rack in the garage would be the dream! but I kind of like escaping from the woman and the baby every now and then

All of my joints click quite loudly. Especially my right knee. I don't do pushups but when I do my right shoulder clicks. Everytime I slightly twist my knees they click. I rock my arms forward and my elbow joints click. Quite loud too, but my right knee is the worst offender. No pain or discomfort other than annoyance. Anything wrong with me? Had this for a while now. Been taking Omega 3 oil for a few months now.

I've always been told that you cant afford to take time off if you want to make progress. If you take time off every time you have a niggleing injury you wont get anywhere. (That’s what I've been told anyway)

But I guess yes I think I have to, reluctantly take the time off.

And yet all the pro bodybuilders, power lifters etc take weeks off every year without a weight in sight.

Making progress is more than just lifting regularly.

Anyone here used Bodybuilding Warehouse, Performance Protein V2, seems a decent price for what you get.

I tried the Diet Whey they do. Was rather bitty and did not mix well. I've not had any bother with PhD Diet Whey.
