Weekend of scrambling and walking, don't think I can face squat day tomorrow, need some legit motivation :'(

Cardio -> proper exercise is what Crossfit is all about... Why complain? Aren't you guys supposed to be "the fittest people on earth? :D ;) Otherwise, you be just another Crossfitter who is all kip and no go. Trollololololol... ;)

Just think of setting that new time for your Rx or whatever it is you guys call it. ;)

To be fair, I also did some cardio yesterday helping teach somebody to ride a bike...

Being referred to a surgeon straight away due to how soon after my last dislocation this has occurred, and also because it dislocated without any trauma or weight being exerted on the shoulder, purely my own movement. Most likely have some keyhole surgery and rotator cuff repair.

Just an update on my shoulder issue! I went and had an MRI scan done in mid August and I've just been to discuss the resultswith my specialist. I'm dealing with a torn front labrum in the shoulder, which he's said is a rather large and full tear. I'm waiting for a date for surgery in which 3 to 4 anchors will be drilled in to my upper arm and lots of sutures to fix the tear will be put in place. 3 weeks immobilisation, 3 weeks regaining range of motion and 6 weeks of resistance band physio before I'll be allowed to lift heavy again and a full 6 months before contact sports/risk of falling on it can be taken up again

Sad times, when will the surgery be?

Another injury issue here. I haven't updated my log for quite a while to be honest, but was doing really well and getting some good gains. Was doing the 5/3/1 routine and had squats up to 135kg, deadlifts at 140kg, bench at 90kg and shoulder press at 57.5kg.

Then yesterday I decided it would be a great idea to completely mess up my right ankle. At the moment I am laying in a hospital bed bored out of my mind waiting for surgery. I dont fully understand what I have done, but I know I have broken a bone on the outside of the ankle and dislodged the ankle itself so it has now become unstable.

The surgeon has said I need to have a metal plate and screw fitted and I wont walk again for at least 6-8 weeks. I'm gonna get bad withdrawal symptoms from the gym

No idea, waiting for a call from his PA as to when they can fit me in. It's being done privately so I wouldn't imagine there will be too long of a wait.

I think it's been torn for a number of years to be honest, as it feels as good as it's ever felt right now, same with my right shoulder. Once repaired it'll be interesting to see if I can increase my lifts as I've always struggled with bench and OHP due to a lack of stability rather than what felt like lack of strength.

Ugh, good luck with the shoulder and ankle guys. Hopefully you'll be back soon and stronger than ever.

I had my first experience with a rumble roller tonight, I can only describe the pain as what I imagine it would feel like to deepthroat a chainsaw.

Y'see, the ankle and shoulder stuff is a pain (and a lot of sympathy to both the guys posting above... :( :( :() but there are remedies. There is no remedy for rumble roller pain, other than more rumble rolling... :D

I'm going to have major gym hangover this week - it's been a good 10 days since my last gym session!

HIT full body workouts 4x this week I reckon.

Squats (160), bench (110), rows (80) and db shoulder press (30) today. 4x6 - ouchy! :D
