Feeling great after about 3-4 weeks of lifting weights at home every night, and feeling a lot stronger than I previously was. I've not weighed myself as I tend to get discouraged when I'm not seeing losses every week, but I am noticing that I'm getting slimmer. My massive belly is nowhere near the size it used to be (I can see my feet again lol), and belt and watch now sit in the next notch up on the strap.

Feeling awesome after a session at home, though I find myself spending less time than previously. At the beginning I'd spend just over an hour doing various sets, now it's taking me 30-35 minutes so I'm just adding more routines to pad it out and lifting to failure on the last few moves.

Loving it! Just wanted to add a quick update and hopefully if anyone else is a massive fatty like me and wants to do it - get on it, it's awesome feeling leaner and stronger than before!

Start a log, and bask in the certified 15% greater awesome associated with an OcUK log.

On a drink's related note, what is with this current fad of bringing these enormous gallon-sized jug/containers to the gym to drink from? It's like an arms-race as to who can carry the most liquid into the gym.

I've been slowly increasing my calories since my 1650kcal cut over the last few weeks, creeping it up to a maintenance of 1900 and now at a surplus at 2400 kcal a day. I've been doing ICF 5x5 just to get me back into decent numbers and think its time I switched back to madcows or something - I already skip squats on deadlift days as the weights are too heavy for me to do both. For some odd reason I'm tempted to give smolov jr squat a go, I ran it for bench and it was pretty good fun with decent results.

You skip squats on a 5*5 routine when deadlifts feature because they're too heavy, and you want to go for a 4/week intense squat program?

Brave, or some would say "foolish!" :D

I like that.

If you are going to attempt Smolov anything for legs, be prepared to eat even more and sleep twice as long.

Smolov Jr squatting is glorious, in a "OMFG I WANT TO DIE! PLEASE SOMEONE KILL ME NOW!!" Then the sense of relief when you reach the end, get home and decimate the kitchen cupboards.

In my gym its more of a 'how much stuff from home can you bring', the current trend is how many phone chargers can you plug in. I dont get it. Charge it at home.
