So, much to my surprise, the 4090 Strix OC has very little coil whine.

It’s still audible without any headphones but it’s far, far less than my old 1080 Ti Strix and 3090
FE so I’m pleasantly surprised. I even unlocked the framerate on some games and up at 350fps it’s not that audible at all.

JayZTwoCents also mentioned the lack of coil whine so I’m wondering if ASUS used different/better parts this time around.

Fits in an NZXT H710i pretty snug (excuse the neon lights reflection on the glass…)

Surprisingly tops out at 65c and 1500rpm in all the games and benchmarks I’ve thrown at it so far (and for those who have seen the H710i case with its lack of airflow, you’ll know that’s impressive).

When you game in the middle of a strip club. Love it. :p

Has anyone tried this switch yet on the MSI Suprim or Gaming X?

Yes, flicked mine over to gaming and it just seems to give it a slightly more aggressive fan curve. Still near silent though.

Played around with OC in MSI afterurner and the Suprim seems rock stable at +190 on the core and +500 on the memory, posting an obscene score on Port Royal and breaking into the top 100!

You'd think at least one of the card manufacturers would have thought to do something about that cable.

A lot of lovely looking cards here, all ruined by that ugly ass cable!

There's a 90 degree adapter coming (I think it was Cablemods) that sends them straight down. You can tuck them under the card then and bundle them up to make them less intrusive. Will also work much better with proper cables coming with ATX 3.0 PSU's.

Didn't realise these connectors were a standard, thought they were just an Nvidia thing.

Just seen a 180 degree adaptor that you apparently can't buy yet, has a display that show power use

Going to have to go windowless until my new build comes together when I get my 13900k setup.

This is in a o11d but have the evo for my new build which should just give me enough space for the cable and window.

Grabbed from my video of my unboxing, so very poor quality.

Next upgrade is motherboard + CPU. I'll be looking for an ATX v3 PSU at that point.

Edit: pic of actual card:
