So, much to my surprise, the 4090 Strix OC has very little coil whine.
It’s still audible without any headphones but it’s far, far less than my old 1080 Ti Strix and 3090
FE so I’m pleasantly surprised. I even unlocked the framerate on some games and up at 350fps it’s not that audible at all.
JayZTwoCents also mentioned the lack of coil whine so I’m wondering if ASUS used different/better parts this time around.
Fits in an NZXT H710i pretty snug (excuse the neon lights reflection on the glass…)
Surprisingly tops out at 65c and 1500rpm in all the games and benchmarks I’ve thrown at it so far (and for those who have seen the H710i case with its lack of airflow, you’ll know that’s impressive).

Also came from a very loud (coilwhine & fans) 3090FE to Strix 4090, my Strix sound very similar to yours in that it has coilwhine, but it's so much less noticeable than the 3090FE. Very pleased overall

Just wanted to ask you about the coil whine on both units of your suprim. What's it like?
My one is silent in a lot of games but some it does make a noise that has me going back on forth on if I'd be happy with it. I think my standards are a bit higher than most. If I play God of war for example and there's a quiet moment I can hear it. My PC is completely silent so maybe I'm been too fussy, I'm not sure.

Loving my card so far.
Running on a 3440x1440 175hz monitor (OLED), due to it not getting maxed out it’s nice and quiet!

My Extreme AIRO is installed. It is very quiet and not as large as I thought it would be. No problem with case size but I've left the new Corsair 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR power cable open for the time being.

RTX 4090 TUF OC very nice so far, side panel is going to have to be off until we get some 90 degree adaptors as to how stiff the cable is.

It actually came today! Not going to install until I get the rest of the new ‘bits’….
I got a direct email from Nvidia, saying I’m a priority customer? Maybe because I’m registered on Nvidia.com or I use GF Experience? Anyway, brought it at 7:45pm last night and it was here at 11am today!

Just gotta wait for the wife to take the kids out now so I can take out my gigabyte gaming oc 3080 and chuck this beauty in!
I wanted a founders 3080 on release but had to just get what I could ..... was in the queue at ocuk for nearly 2 months and thought **** it and got a refund for the tuf card and got the gigabyte from a spicy retailer the next day lol (lucky f5 spam)
